Free Concert
Sunday. 9.9.07 10:57 am
No, I'm not giving away concert tickets nor did I win any concert tickets. I should just say that I'm literary not there during these concerts.

Ever since I start living in this hostel, I get free concerts and fireworks display every now and then. Have I blogged about this already? I don't remember. Anyway, so I can hear and see all these in my hostel unit. Fireworks from the laundry area while I can practically hear it everywhere except if I'm in my room. These concerts sometimes starts in the morning and ends somewhere near 10 at night or only in the mornings or only at nights, almost every weekend. Most of the time I'll hear lousy emcees for some game the moment I step out of my room almost every Sunday and alternate Saturday mornings. Where does all those come from? Sunway Lagoon, a water theme park, north-east of the condo.

You'll get bored with it after sometime. They'll turn into factors of noise pollution then they'll just fade into the background. Unless they're sometime unique about the "concert". Like today, this one lasted all day and the people involved are like ants in red shirt and white pants.

Oh! Jackie Chan was in the area yesterday afternoon, caused a horrible traffic jam. What's so nice about a wrikle faced old man who happen to be fit enough to do his martial art moves, make big bucks, and appear on the big screen? I don't know.. Then again, who doesn't want to meet someone famous? Tell me if Jesse McCartney or Wang Lee Hom or Jessica Alba's in the area, then I'll be looking forward to it.

On other news, I've finished CSI(Las Vegas), season 7, today. I noticed that they started having an episode which totally is hilarious for season 5 and 7. I'm not sure if they have one for season 6. Oh this happened while I was watching one episode out in the living room last Friday.

Me : Hahaha!! They're gay!! They're gay!!
Friend of new housemate (Her) : Hey.. what are you watching? (out of nowhere)
Me : CSI (Thinking: Who's she? Do I know her?)
Her : Which one?
Me : Las Vegas
Her : Do you have New York?
Me : Nope, sorry
Her : Oh.. okay. (walks away)

Term break!
Thursday. 8.23.07 2:53 am
Sing along guys!
I’m going home
back to the place where I belong
and where your love has always been enough for me
I’m not running from
No, I think you got me all wrong
I don’t regret this life I chose for me
But these places and these faces are getting old
So I’m going home

Hehe.. Yea, it is term break and I’m going home for the week!! My first stop is at Aunt Carol’s place for some DVDs and movies then I’ll head home for the faster internet and my warm bed. I have assignments to do, so I don’t know what else I’d be doing in that one week. Mother bought loads of chocolate back for me from Langkawi, so, fever and sore throat, here I come. I’m stuck on which bag should I use. I’m afraid that one might be too small and the other might be too big.. I think I’ll use the big one and dump everything inside of it, since I need to bring my laptop, files and some books back. Though I think even if I only pack two or three shirts back, that’s enough because I didn’t empty my closet when I came here. Yea, I’ll just dump everything in the big bag, savvy?

So at last in Accounts and MDM, I’m learning something which I haven’t learnt before, though it’s not entirely a new thing to me because one or two parts still relates to whatever I’ve learnt in high school. For English class.. I’m still afraid I still need to work on my grade.. like work really hard. Hmm.. For this game I’m playing.. all the shares that I hold on to, falls like bird droppings while all the shares I sold are rocketing sky high. Damn it!!

Erm.. So off I go, to pack.. before I go on babbling too much to myself. Take care people!! I’ll see you when I get home!

Help needed!
Thursday. 8.2.07 3:11 am
Yes, the title is correct, I need your help! For the very important ISU(an assignment) given by Ms Ford, my Eng4U teacher, I need you guys to help me choose a book(I have never read any one of the books before) to read by the 13th of August. If any of you have read any of the books below, please leave a comment or send me a note, about the story and what you guys think about it.

Stranger in the Forest, Eric Hansen
World of Wonders, Robertson Davies
Fifth Business, Robertson Davies
The MAnticore, Robertson Davies
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Gregory Maguire
Nineteen Eighty-Four, George Orwell
Frankenstein, Mary Shelly
The Bluest Eye, Toni Morrison
Life of Pi, Yann Martel
Haroun and the Sea of Stories, Salmon Rushdie
The Poisonwood Bible, Barbara Kingsolver
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle Haruki Murakami
Waiting for Snow in Havana, Carlos Eire
The Stranger Albert Camus
Siddartha, Herman Hesse
The Trial, Franz Kafka

I can choose a book which is not on the list(stictly NO Harry Potter, Stephen King, or Dan Brown) and it has to explore the differences of illusion, reality and the modern world. I've talked to renaye yesterday and she did suggest a book which I've forgotten the title but I have no idea what it is about. The good news is that she has one of the book, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, but I don't know if I can borrow it from her to do this assignment as she just bought it somewhere this week and I don't think so I can afford another book after buying Harry Potter and Eclipse(which is going to cost me about RM200, thanks to me not wanting to wait for 2 months for it). Though that is totally out of the topic...

And as I excepted, I really am in the "calm before the storm" situation as I'm quite busy this weekend thanks to assignments, presentations, tests and ...more assignments which are all due by Wednesday.

Thanks for reading and really thank you for those who're planning to help me with the book titles.

Hugs To: alexsedotcx, ikimashokie, lazypuppy, invisible, and crz4manga.

Monday. 7.30.07 8:57 am
In less than a month, I’ve learnt that with every small bit of freedom, it comes with a great amount of responsibility. There’s still so much more for me to learn.. either the easy or the hard way.. I’m going to maybe cut juices out of my grocery list, as I started buying them when Mum suggested me to drink them as I was showing signs of dehydration. I think it’s time for me to be more responsible of myself, furthermore, the amount of money left in my account is seriously scaring me. I don’t know how I could’ve withdrew so much money and I almost have no idea where the money went to... It should be the side effect of not going to the market with Mum and Grandma but only know how to eat whatever’s on the table. Yes, I’m sounding weird am I? I think it’s the side effect of spending sometime at Uncle Aundrey’s. I didn’t actually want to leave his place, it just felt so... Nice to be there... And I get to watch Ghost Whisperer for half an hour or so.. I even bumped into Zoey and Estrella-chan in front of Carrefour, while waiting for the bus back to the hostel because I asked Uncle Aundrey to leave me there so that I can withdraw some money. My jovial mood lasted for less than 5 minutes as I sank back into the bottomless pit of sadness as I watch the person who’d make me forget my troubles walk further away from me and then disappeared with a blink of an eye like they’ve disapperated!

Anyway, apart from the normal perception that my classmates in both my Accounts and MDM class have of me, I am definitely, NOT clever. They think I’m this whiz kid because I can answer most of the questions that the teacher asked and just so happen to score full marks for my accounting quiz. In the small and cold classroom, I think the best way to not fall asleep is to talk and since talking to the person sitting beside you is forbidden while the teacher is talking, I talk to the teacher so that I don’t fall asleep.. What’s wrong with doing that?? Though, that doesn’t happen during English class because English class is fun and it so happen to be the only class I don’t really feel cold and sleepy in... And in the case of MDM and Accounting, I just so happen to be able to remember whatever I’ve learnt back in Secondary School, which made things easier for me. Not to forget that I rather not procrastinate as I’ve learnt a lesson from procrastinating in the last few weeks of Secondary School. I rather plan my time wisely than having something similar to the erm.. I think in this context, it’s a situation, the calm before the storm. Not only that, you won’t know when something really big comes up and you won’t be able to do any last minute work at all. Call me pushy, call me crazy, whatever.

There are some people, who are so damn free to be trying to hack into someone else’s computer.. Maybe that’s the side effect of staying in a place where TV is not available. All weekend I’ve been getting these alerts saying “an attempt has been blocked” at least 10 times a day and now, the connection is crazy! I can’t get on MSN or even to open pages no matter how many times I’ve reconnected. *rolls eyes*

Simpsons - Movie
Saturday. 7.28.07 8:23 am
Yes folks, you got it right, I've watched Simpsons - the Movie! I went and watched it with Ivan. For someone who don't always watch Simpsons because it's only available on cable and I don't have any cable.. That movie is ridiculously funny! Though I yawned twice while watching the movie(same thing happened when I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean), I am definately recommending it because laughter is the best medicine, especially if you really need a laugh. Though I have no idea why this movie is rated as suitable for all viewers because there are scenes in this movie, which is really not suitable for kids to watch. Those people who rate the movies usually rate movies with one or two innocent kissing scenes as 18, and now.... Even Ivan agrees that kids shouldn't be watching this movie! Oh whatever, kids in Malaysia needs some sex education anyway.

So.. what else did I do today..? Trying to google out some extra information about ethical standards of management accountants which I need to do a presentation and report on and is due on the 9th.. which came me with absolutely nothing at all which is apart from the information available in the textbook. I then turned to Anita for help and she's borrowing her friend's textbook which should have some ethical standards for me. I hope to be able to return it to her asap because they're going to have a test in two weeks time. Oh right!! I've been wanting to ask you guys, how to change the name of my page? Instead of it saying "Nuttz's Weblog Site - Nutang.com", I would like to change it to something else but I don't know how..

Ice Skating
Friday. 7.27.07 7:04 am
I went ice skating today with estrella-chan and her sister. It was fun. Though, I kind of fell twice, not on my butt, on my knees. I spent an hour and a half or so in there learning how to skate. Well, I sure did a good job not falling on my butt for a first timer. The thing is that I went there just to look at estrella-chan skate, then Zoey, her sis, doesn't want to skate anymore and since all our feet are of the same size, Zoey gave me her skates and I gave her my shoes, for an hour and a half.. Estrella-chan can skate very well, mostly due to the fact that she used to roller blade.

Estrella-chan commented about my eyebrows.. She doesn't like the idea of me drawing my eyebrows.. she said it looks weird on me. Well, the next time I go out with her, I'll just not draw my eyebrows.. Though I've now felt that I look weird if I don't draw my eyebrows.. HAHA! It doesn't matter, I shall see how things are the next time we hang out. Eng Wei, don't be jealous, I'll hang out with you when the time is right.. You have Saturday classes and are quite faraway from me.

By the way, I think I'll be able to go back home for a week, the last week of August, there's a term break and if Ivan is not in Sabah at that time, I'll invite him over or something since he had been saying that he wants to visit Taiping again. Too bad the week I'm off is the week my family comes back from Langkawi, or else I'd be able to follow them there.. Though I'll be able to go home to a fridge well stocked with chocolates! XD

Hugs To: renaye, Xboyz, ranor, kkama67, alexsedotcx, Le_Jes, and bing bean.
