Beyonce to Marry Jay-Z in November?
Wednesday. 8.30.06 9:25 am
Word on the street is that Jay-Z and Beyonce plan on spending $3 million on a lavish wedding slated for November.
According to these guys, the wedding is set to go down in the Caribbean island of Anguilla:
Beyonce Knowles is pulling out all the stops for her wedding. The Dreamgirls star is set to wed rap impresario Jay Z, and the lavish event will come with a $3 million price tag, according to Star magazine. The former Destiny’s Child member is planning a late November wedding on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. Guests will dine on $300,000 worth of caviar as well as lobster and truffles and will wash it down with $200 bottles of Dom Perignon.
I'll keep my hands crossed on this one until it's validated elsewhere. Not saying that there's no truth to it, it's just that these marriage rumors have been going on forever. You'd think that by now celeb-gossip media would have upgraded the conversation to how many kids these two have had together.
Speaking of which, what are you thoughts on Jayonce's latest collaboration, Upgrade U, taken from B'Day?

2006 VMAs: No Love for H-Town
Wednesday. 8.30.06 9:19 am
Cham performs at pre-VMAs Ceremony
As you probably know by now, the Video Music Awards will be televised live on MTV Thursday night (August 31st, 2006). Proudly representing Houston at this year's VMAs--Beyonce and Chamillionaire.
That's it.
Beyonce is up for "Best R & B Video" ("Check on It") while Chamillionaire's nominated in the "Best Rap Video" category for that monster of jam known as "Ridin'".
Is it just me or is there a big oversight here? Three-6-Mafia's "Stay Fly" is categorized as Hip-Hop while "Ridin'"--which Bun and Pimp should really be receiving royalty checks for--is labeled "Rap" in the VMA nominations list. I wonder if the difference has anything to do with the amount of coke references in per song / video.
Anyhow, Paul Wall's "Sittin' Sidewayz" should have had a shot. And how come Chamillionaire isn't nominated for "Best New Artist"? Regardless, you should probably watch this year's VMAs. Some crazy stuff always happens. Maybe Jay-Z and Beyonce will make out on stage this time.
