Some of us have been scheming about things to do around here to liven things up a little, and we thought maybe a scavenger hunt might help some. While we're not entirely sure how we're going to go about this, exactly, this is a thread where we can practice the art of scavenger hunting on the internet. A batting cage for scavengers, if you will.

RULES:
i. Because this is a NuTang scavenger hunt, only post clues you can find specifically on NuTang. This could be a memorable image someone posted, or an excerpt off of someone's page on NuTang. The key is that it has to be something one might recognize from being on NuTang somewhere, otherwise it ends up being just a wild goose chase around the internet.
ii. The clue can be from ANYWHERE on NuTang - from a member's page, or somewhere in NuTrol, etc. As long as it is specific to NuTang, or known to be from or on something specific to NuTang. i/e: a memorable image from one of dave's posts, or something like that.
iii. Only one clue up at a time. First, the clue is posted. Then members hunt around NuTang looking for where the clue may be found. When the correct place has been found, the member who found it then posts a clue, and goes on from there. If there is a clue already up that has not been solved yet, DO NOT POST ANOTHER CLUE. This only makes things confusing in the end.

maybe we should have something.. that if we can't find the clue.. after about 5-6 days if the person doesn't give us anything to assist us in finding the clue... that we move on to another clue.. I don't think we would want to be hung up on the same clue for half of the summer if no help is given or no one can figure it out...

Moving on to a new clue sounds like a good idea and it'll hopefully encourage more people to give this a shot. If we're all stuck on the same clue (as CPKviperpheonix mentioned) for awhile, the scavenger hunt idea may just die out. Ok so that's a little extreme, but it would be nice if we could just start anew if no one has any idea where the clue lies.

I agree we should move on to another clue. But if anyone finds the answer to dave's, we will certainly not turn them away!

I did get some hints for dave's clue in a note:

hint#1 - flash movie
hint#2 - le_battement will definitely recognize it
hint#3 - begin transmission. in the year 4005, 8 billion light years away, the last robotic lemur dies in the most technologically advanced galaxy known to baboons... the lucky dragon!

He says he's not even sure it's linked anywhere.

Now I remember it perfectly! It was the video for the launch of xPPGY! That's where I saw that before! I couldn't quite put my finger on it at first... That was back around like july of 2005 or so...

So yea.. I was trying to see if I could find that video again.. but had no luck finding it through any links on the site....
