I have been knitting a lot lately. Today I bought this really nice blue baby yarn and now I’m going to make my friends’ new baby boy a baby blanket. It’s a really thick, soft yarn. It’ll make one heck of a warm blanket [and kind of pricey to make]. This yarn costs approximately $3.50 each and it’ll take 3 or 4 to make a toddler bed sized afghan. I want to make sure he’d be able to use the blanket for a little while. Any smaller and it would be too small for him to actually use next winter.

On NBC they used to have Home Improvement reruns from 11:30-noon. Recently they kicked Home Improvement for My Wife, And Kids. Granted that show is amusing… I still liked Home Improvement a bit more. I gotta admit, though. The switch does make things a little more interesting. I recognized all the Home Improvement reruns from back in the day, I never watched My Wife, And Kids when it was on. I didn’t have TV at that time. I really like My Wife, And Kids. I hope the reruns last longer than the summer. I’ve gotta catch up on my reruns!

Today has kind of felt long. Mom bought that treadmill from that yard sale I mentioned before. Not the greatest thing, but it works. The problem we are having is keeping Aubree off it. She seems to think it is something to swing on.

As I messed around with the thing, I figured out that the treadmill will tell you how many miles you have gone. I think I’m going to make a goal of a mile a night and work up from there, see how it goes. Unfortunately mom still doesn’t know how to work it, only I do.

Does anyone reading this like pickles? I’m not a huge pickle eater, but I do enjoy eating them. Although I’m a fan of large whole dill pickles, I’ve recently fallen in love with small whole sweet pickles. They are just so darn delicious. Another favorite of mine would be bread and butter pickles. I don’t put pickles on sandwiches or anything, I like to eat them plain. The strange thing about it all, though, is that I do not like relish.

p.s. I only made it a half mile before I quit. So my goal per night has been adjusted.

I have a headache today. And I’m generally grumpy, but one good thing did happen. A while back I got a letter stating that if I got Aubree’s blood tested for lead that they’d send me a free gift card. I’d just had it done something like a week before, so I filled it out and mailed it in. Today I got a free $10 gift card for Meijer. I bought some Mountain Dew. I like it and the cans are returnable. Then I usually return the cans to the store when I need some extra money for whatever reason.

I have to admit, today was a pretty good feeling day. I did not do anything exciting, but the next to nothing notable that I did I enjoyed. Mom said that we are going to go out to eat for breakfast tomorrow. Ponderosa has a pretty good breakfast bar and it happens to be open weekends only. I’m looking forward to it, only if I can get to bed at a decent time tonight. Or else I will be tired and grumpy when I get up to leave. Mom wants to get there when it’s open and going at 8am.
