Books
Saturday. 5.17.14 7:28 am
There is something wonderful about being recognised by the owner of a bookstore. So, I bought some more books today, books that I probably wouldn't read anytime soon.

One of the books from today's haul is Lady Chatterly's Lover by D. H. Lawrence. Leon (the owner) told me that this book was banned for a while in a great many countries (which google confirmed) and I am really curious why it was banned. I haven't read it yet and from the title, I believe it is a love story of sorts and right now I am not feeling much for a love story right now.

I am also thinking that I should be reading the Ruth Ozeki's book that I have but I am slightly lazy to dig em out. So right now, I am reading the Murakami that I have (though I think I am too young to understand Murakami).

Anyone has any good books to recommend?

Mid-April, already?
Saturday. 4.19.14 10:49 am
How time flies when you are working almost every day of the week.

I spent the last 12 days seeing my colleagues for at least 10 hours a day. It exhausted me and it brought up feelings that I do not want to feel and revelations that I do not yet want to do. Makes me wonder how some people can be older than you at yet act like a high schooler. But alas, such is life.

I had a rather weird Friday evening, which saw me and a friend being antisocials at a company event and we ended up talking to 3 partners of the firm, two ended up having dinner at our table. It was quite a night even though we left early.

That is all, for now...

MH370
Sunday. 3.9.14 10:47 am
To those of you who doesn't know, a Malaysian Airlines aircraft heading to Beijing disappeared without a trace two nights ago. It is flight MH370. No, I do not know anyone on that flight but I've been having a little taste of what the family members of the crew and passengers on that flight would be feeling right now. This is because should this be a SIA flight that my best friend is on it, I'm going to be devastated - what more people whom mother/father/daughter/son are on that plane.

My Facebook newsfeed has been flooded by the news related to the incident and I've nearly cried a few times just reading a few of these things. I'm not the praying kind of girl but I will be praying for them, for a miracle that would be that the crew and passengers to be found alive and well.

Not to look down on my own country but I have a feeling that the first to find any trace of the aircraft would be Singapore. Haha!

A new year has come!
Monday. 12.30.13 11:56 am
Happy new year everyone!!!!! I hope that this new year will bring much joy to you all.

Year end, reflection, the usual ramblings.... =D

The last thing I buy in 2013 are...... AIR TICKETS! Or maybe that awesomely comfortable Topshop ballet flats or that wristlet clutch with an iPhone compartment or a watch! No, I can't decide yet.

Edit: The last thing I bought was a watch.

The bright side?
Friday. 12.13.13 9:46 am
So the new job is occupying a lot of my time that I literally sleep away 3/4 of Saturdays because I'm so exhausted.

I would say, I was rather upset when someone did something I didn't want him to do then now, maybe I am seeing the silver lining. I don't know, things are being made more complicated now and I think I will be able to ever get a definite answer. I will continue to pray for an answer and hopefully an answer I will get, soon.

I'm so excited cause I am going to see my friends tomorrow! I was wishing for hugs and I've been missing them like crazy so it feels so good to have that come true. If only everything works this way. Haha!

Okay, I need to crash. I miss you guys and I hope you guys are well!

November
Saturday. 11.23.13 5:53 am
Christmas is just around the corner but I don't think I can enjoy much of it this year. Life seems so hectic now with the new job, a new cousin on the way, a dog... Gosh, this new place allows me to be the workaholic that I want to be but I am still very much lost in a lot of things.. But it's just the 2nd week and honestly, I am not regretting my decision to move here but I wish that I am not as lost.

This is my quick update because things aren't that interesting anyway, unless you want to hear all about the new amazing pair of working pants that I got and am so totally gonna stock up when my pay comes in.
