I wanted to share a website with you that is a good idea to visit. It is FAMILY WATCH DOG When you visit this site you can enter your address and a map will pop up with your house as the small icon of a house and red, blue, green, dots surrounding your entire neighborhood.
When you click on these dots a picture of a person will appear with an address and the description of the crime he or she had committed. I was really shocked at how many of these people were in my neighborhood. The best thing is that you can show your children pictures and see how close these people live to your home or school. This site was developed by John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted. Another tool to help us keep our kids safe.

According to a new study, the calories you suck down through a straw may play a bigger role in weight gain than the calories you bite off the end of a fork. Published as part of the national report "What America Drinks," the study's findings indicate that "liquid calories" make up 22% of the average U.S. adult's diet. A signification portion of those calories come in the form of refined sugar from sweetened fruit juices and sodas, which have been shown to contribute to the risk of obesity and type 2 diabetes. For those looking to curb their calorie intake in the new year, researchers recommended a simple fix: a cold, refreshing glass of water.
What This Means for You
For those who can't do without a little sweetness in their cup, many beverage makers are capitalizing on health concerns by offering sugar-free, zero-calorie or all-natural alternatives to sugary drinks. For those with simpler palates, there's also sparkling mineral water.

Maybe I am just getting old, but watching them brought me so much joy. The speakers were a little boring and watching the children helped me pass the time.
When you are a parent with little ones, it is hard to see your children as entertaining and the reason for happiness and joy. No folks selling and buying prostitutes is not a dead practice. In Italy nearly 800 people were arrested for smuggling women into Italy and making them work as prostitutes.
The saddest part is that 1/5 of them were minors. This is what one 16 year old had to say. A 16-year-old Romanian girl, named as Maria, told reporters yesterday that she had been sold by her parents and taken to Ladispoli, on the coast north of Rome, where she was “treated like an animal”. Her captors had taken away her passport and mobile phone and put her to work at once on the Via Aurelia, the coast road. She said that she had tried to run away, but had been recaptured and beaten up. She eventually escaped and went to the police.

AMMAN, Jordan - A Jordanian man fatally shot his 17-year-old daughter whom he suspected of having sex despite a medical exam that proved her chastity, an official said Thursday. The man surrendered to police hours after the killing, saying he had done it for family honor.
The father shot the girl four times in the head on Tuesday. On Wednesday, an autopsy was performed that again showed "she was still a virgin," the pathologist said.
The crime is the first "honor killing" this year in Jordan, where many men consider sex out of wedlock to be an almost indelible stain on a family's reputation. On average, about 20 women in the country are killed by their relatives in such cases each year. Women have been killed for simply dating.
