I miss role-playing. It's been years since I was in a good RPG. I remember the old days of AT&T, Yahoo, and AOL chatrooms. There used to be hundreds if not thousands of people who role-played back then. The semi-old-fashioned kind too. All text, no dice, just imagination. None of that anime crap or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You make up your own story, your own mythology, your own kingdoms. It seems like forums are the last refuge of good ORPG's, and even those are few and far between. Like oasis' (is that right? Or should it be oasis's? Ah well. oh-aye-sees) in the desert.

And even when you do find one, the odds are against it being well thought out, or populated by mostly good writers. It's sad, really. So much of the internet these days is populated by video-gamers who hear "rpg" and think "like final fantasy?".

Eh. It's depressing. Even after creating my own website and filling it with pages of original content (going on two years now) I still seriously doubt that I'll even open it or get anyone interested enough to stick around. Either there aren't enough people online these days who like to write, or those that do just aren't interested in role-playing. Or they have some misapprehension about it. Role-playing gets a bad rep, but if it's done right it can be so much fun.

I really wish I could get Jenn into it. She's a great writer, and it'd be something we could do together. Eh. I feel old. And bored. And my muse has been in a coma for quite some time.

Go into Customize Site from your user menu. In the header portion, pick a spot and copy this..

That should give your box a gray background with white font. It's a temporary fix. I would definitely suggest looking up some easy tutorials on CSS.

So, a few days back, out of impulse (it remains to be seen whether it was foolish impulse or not), I purchased a hosting reseller account. Whereby I sell hosting space to other people on a server that I rent. I'm still in the process of getting everything set up and figuring out the technical details. I'm quickly realizing that I'm probably in way over my head. heh. In any case, I made a banner and I was hoping to get some feedback on it.
