It is a very hot morning this morning. I woke up sweating. Mom went to work earlier than usual today so I also woke up to find that Aubree had gotten up before me, got into one of those McDonalds honey packets and got it on the mouse and keyboard. She also managed to get some on the letter to my penpal, but that wasn’t too bad. I was able to wipe that off and it wasn’t too damaged. The mouse and keyboard is what got most of the sticky. So Aubree was put in timeout first thing this morning.

I was thinking about quitting smoking. Just up and stopping cold turkey once the last of my cigarettes are gone. The downside is that I have at least 12oz of tobacco left, filters and papers [I roll my own cigarettes cuz a 1lb bag of tobacco can last me 2 months and that’s with people bumming off me]. It’s a kinda do, kinda don’t want to quit thing. What I think I will do is stretch out my last 3 cigarettes and give it a shot. If I can make a week without smoking I think I can completely stop.

I’m still going to stick with my goal to quit smoking, but I’m not going to go cold turkey. I’m going to do the cut down thing. I was smoking between 10-15 a day. I’m limiting myself to only 10 a day for right now. Then after about a week or so I’ll cut it down to 9. Then 8, ect. Until I’m comfortable with only 1 a day. Then I will stop. I would be too tempted if I quit cold turkey. I’m pretty sure I would get grumpy and because my mom smokes, I would be very tempted.

Yesterday I went to town and I picked up something to put Tico in. He would try to swim and he’d hit a wall when he was in the betta tank. So I got him a 1gal pet carrier thing, rocks, and fake plants so he can hide when he wants to. Now he can swim where he wants to, more room to move. I also bought Tico some food that not only includes the pellets that are good for him, but it included 2 treats. I can’t remember what one was, but the other was freeze dried brine shrimp.

My only friend left out here invited me to dinner at her house tonight. She is making bbq chicken, YUMMY! I usually do not like eating at other peoples food because I feel guilty, but I think I will wait til I’m done with the chicken to feel guilty. I love bbq chicken. I’ve been wanting some for a while now. Mom won’t let me make it because “it’ll make the house too hot.” I understand, but my want for it overrides my lack of wanting to sweat. So, yeah, thinking about that delicious bbq chicken makes my stomach growl.

About my post yesterday, I ended up going to the store and buying a laxative for toddlers that worked for Aubree. I am very happy for her. She was in quite a bit pain from how she was acting.

Yesterday while Aubree was napping I picked up some of the junk that was on the kitchen floor, swept and mopped it. It looks a lot better. I also cleaned Tico and Swipers’ tanks. They are happy now, too. I put in some new rocks into Swipers’ tank and 2 plants from the bunch I had originally bought for Ticos’ tank.
