So I had an idea for a website/side business. Nothing major, just something I think I'm good at that there's a niche for. I want to set up a business as a web consultant. Let's face it, there are a lot of ugly (poorly designed) websites out there. Mainly because there are so many websites that are run by people who are just out to make a quick buck and don't care what it looks like.

But there may be some who just don't know what they're doing. I'd like to pimp myself out to these people. Basically what I'd do is review their website for free, looking for things like spelling mistakes, broken pages, and making a list of features their website needs/could use. I'd then sell them this information for a small fee (depending on the length of the list. At the most we're talking $10 a pop). If the list is 5 items or shorter, I'd simply give them the information for free to give myself a better image. They can then take these suggestions to their designer to implement, they can do it themselves, or I can do it for them for another fee (again, depending on the size of the list).

Does anyone think this is a good business model? Feedback please.
