You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

For a second I forgot that I wasn't in the same timezone as the Nutang server anymore, so I was wondering when Wednesday had come around.

Didn't think I was THAT out of it...

We're going to the di Rosa art preserve on Thursday with Lucy. Fun fun. :D I really like it there... all of it is so fun.

Next boyfriend will hopefully not find that sort of thing boring. :P

Actually, I'm hoping my next boyfriend will have a better attention span in general... X|

-Sigh-

One of those days... or nights or something

Getting that head-bashing feeling again.

I can see it in my mind, there's a white wall, with little red flecks on it.

THUMP
THUMP
THUMP

The noise isn't really that loud to anybody else, but it's the loudest thing in the world when your head is what's making it.

And your vision is getting a little blurred, and there are little swimming sparks everywhere around the edges, and the air seems to be moving everything in the wrong direction.

It hurts, but of course it was going to hurt. Isn't that the point, in some way? Focus on something in the present to distract you from despairing about the future... wasn't that the plan?

Was there a plan? Hard to think about it through this thick, painful haze.

But... keep doing this. Why? Dunno. Just keep doing.

And THUMP is becoming thump as it hurts more.

Hurts. Hurts...

Everything is swimmy sparks, and hurting, and so much black.

Just black...

Black...

Remember the pool post I just did?

This is pretty relevant:

Haha, the name of this one is apparently "TOTALLY-TRUE-FACT!-Waterpark-bathrooms-dont-have-urinals.png". XP

So... I went to the flea market today, and picked up a copy of The Sims 2 Nightlife for $10. I mean, I'm sure there are better deals out there, but it was convenient and I had no intention of doing much searching to find it.

(A little background: I originally purchased The Sims 2 not long before it first came out, so I didn't get Nightlife in a neat little deluxe package with it. I did want to get the game, but I ended up getting a slew of other expansion packs instead for various reasons... [do I really need Open for Business? No, but I got it because they were out of Nightlife...] Anyway, it's nice to finally have it, because staring at all those "this feature required The Sims 2 Nightlife" messages has been chipping away at my sanity over the years)

Musics!

I finally got a copy of that song I've been looking for, Lead Me To Love. You may listen to it in the Stickam player. :D (I added Green Apple Tree by Harpers Bizarre too)

Also, I'd be lying if I said I didn't think this album cover was hilarious:

Dangerous waters
Thursday, May 20, 2010
Me: yeah i don't really like pools either
Me: especially when you never know what's floating around in that water
Alice: i saw a kid pee in the water at the YMCA
Alice: i saw a kid pee in the water at a water park
Me: hahaha, that's gross XP
Alice: i saw an old guy pee a little bit in another pool
Me: i mean, i know urine is sterile and all
Alice: i'm hella scared
Me: what
Alice: i think he couldn't hold it
Alice: i like
Alice: jumped out of the pool and ran
Alice: and the lifeguard reprimanded me

I made pumpkin bread today. It's pretty decent.

Another dream
Wednesday, May 19, 2010
I was somewhere. A combination between my elementary school and an apartment complex. I was running.

He and a friend were chasing after me.

I kept running, and jumping and climbing and pushing through people, but they caught me on a balcony of sorts. The friend handed me a note.

The note told me he loved me.

I was disgusted. There was a pencil on the ground, and I tried to fend him off with it. My attempts all failed, and he grabbed the pencil and stabbed me in the hand several times. I felt no pain, just an increased desire to make him go away.

I pulled the lead from the pencil and thrust it at him.

Somehow, despite the fact that he was wearing glasses, my makeshift weapon lodged itself deep within his eye.

Now, I thought, I could run. But I could hear sirens, and policemen were starting to appear. They took notes stoically and thoughtfully. People were gathering around and saying I had killed him.

No, I hadn't, I told them. I just wanted to make him go away.

Everyone else began to forget I was there at all, and then I woke up.

Me: i had a dream that Nathan told me he loved me so i stabbed him in the eye with a pencil
Dude: wow
Dude: bitch
Me: he stabbed me first in the hand
Dude: oh
Dude: well than its justified
Me: and i only stabbed him once
Dude: did he do it with a pencil too?
Me: he punched holes in my hand
Dude: and why did he stab you?
Dude: oh god you should have got both his eyes.

In the military

After learning about the "anti-Viagra" pills issued to marines...

Angie: Imagine a hundred and twenty guys jacking off in one big room.
Me: I... I keep imagining this as a musical number.

"We're Marines!
OOH-RAH!
We're Marines!

We're Marines, OOH-RAH!
And we're blowing off some steam!
We're all jacking off into our socks
But we'll kick your ass if you call us queens!
Yes we're men, OOH-RAH! in the Marines!"

Tryin' to shake off the creepies
Sunday, May 16, 2010
Wow, it seems like everytime I find out something new about Mr. Ex-Boyfriend, I feel more creeped out that I was in a relationship with him...

Seriously, asian fetish much?

Yellow fever = stay the HELL away from me, please.

Same goes for pregnancy fetishists. -Ahem-

Seriously, it's a shiver-worthy topic.
