Thank goodness for 36 months warranty (according to the acer website, hope they don't screw me over). I have 36 months material warranty. It does mean that it will cover replacing my screen, yes? *fingers crossed* Currently updating from connecting my mum's old PC monitor to my laptop

Till then, I won't log in from work but I'll try hijacking someone's laptop to see updates. Till later, take care people!

Out-of-office messages
Monday. 8.13.12 10:12 am
Anyone ever tried to be funny with their out-of-office messages before? You know, those you set on your office email when you're away...?

I think mine would go something like this:-

I will be out of the office on [date] as I do not wish to deal with you people or spend 8 hours with these people. I will not have any access to your emails (cause I did not want to sync my phone with Outlook and have you probably ruin my day). I will respond to your message upon my return on [date] (boohoo! Not enough off-days). For urgent matters, kindly call Idiot #1 [email & phone number] or Idiot #2 [email & phone number]. Kthxbai!

If you can, what would yours be like?

50 Shades Trilogy
Saturday. 8.4.12 3:58 am
I got curious and got them. I am not proud to announce that I finished the book in one weekend. I would totally agree that the books are like Twilight and I would agree that it is "porn for women". I cannot wait for this whole thing to blow up even more than it already has and I would say Benedict Cumberbatch is the best person to play Christian Grey - ot that it will happen. I shall return to my Sci-Fi and Fantasy books now. It has been a good fling with Christian Grey but I cannot stay there for too long; it'll be the death of me.

Stop What You're Doing and Read This!
Thursday. 7.19.12 9:55 am
It's actually the title of one of the anthologies that I'm reading and I have to say that I totally agree with what that is being said about reading. I was about to post a blog and quote stuff from there but I seem to get lost halfway through typing for a few times now that I decide to just abandon that idea.

I have been recently told that I "read a lot of weird stuff" and I have to say that sometimes I don't really care what I read, I just read for the sake of reading, I read to keep myself occupied and pass time and most importantly I read because reading is fun. To the people who doesn't like reading but are somehow top scholars - I guess now I know why you say most the stupidest things that I've ever heard.

Anyway, tiny update because I don't really have much left to update. I hope everyone had an awesome week and will have an awesome weekend ahead!

Distance
Thursday. 7.5.12 10:21 am

I have this partially stuck in my head. Nothing much to update except that the person I talk to most often these days are quite spot on when it comes to telling me of my flaws. I have to agree because I do know I do that but sometimes I think being condescending to people who makes me not want to live in this world anymore is kind of my right to do so; it's a self-defense mechanism to prevent myself from going crazy, like how you stay away from bad influences. And it's not like I'm too quick to judge or something, I'm fine with you until you give me reasons not to.. I've been judged very often on face value and I don't think that gives me the right to judge others at face value in return. Though I have to admit that I do face the same problem over and over again simply because people don't change and I am yet to find that middle way. So putting physical and emotional distance as much as I can seems like the best option now. I would love to give an example but I simply cannot here.

Moving forward, it is Friday for me when I wake up tomorrow so I hope everyone had an awesome 4th celebration and have a nice weekend! Hopefully I will have something interesting to blog soon.

Homosexual tendencies
Friday. 6.22.12 6:47 am
I think that my public and personal personas can be quite different. I've always heard remarks about me being "very serious", "scary" and "snobbish" from people I consider the general public. My friends would not think of me that way; people who bother to get to know me better will be able to see that difference. So, today.. if you have my Facebook, you'll see that quite open discussion between me and my two oldest friends and somewhere in that discussion, you'll see me making a couple suggestive statements. And because I was laughing a lot, my boss asked me what was I laughing about and after explanations, she said "If I don't know the guy that you like, I would really think that you're a lesbian". Hence this blog.

I think I show different people a similar yet different sides of me and the longer we're friends, the fuzzier the lines are between friendship and flirtationship. I love to be cheeky and mischievous but not around everyone and not everyone can swallow that pill. I really don't do things if I think the other party cannot accept. So I guess I do sort of give people the wrong impression; not that I'm complaining. I think it is kind of fun to give people the wrong impression sometimes and then just drop the bomb on them (although it is a double edged sword).

I sometimes also find it hard to convince someone against their own assumption. I try it once or twice then I give up because it's either they find it fun to hold on to that assumption and use it on me from time to time or they're just too stubborn to see the truth. So yea... That's about all.

P/s: I use a lot of "so" and "also" and it's a bit all over the place because I don't know how to properly construct this. I don't want to explain too much yet I don't want to say too little.
