(1) | Recommend! Same song, different instruments Tuesday, August 26, 2014 It's interesting how changing the instruments can give a song such a different feel. I got a couple Satie CDs at the library, and "Je te veux" was on one of them. I liked it on piano, but then I found out that there are a bunch of versions of it on different instruments... :D Violin has the most romantic feel I think. -Heart melts- I love love love accordion, and I think this has the most charming vibe. Guitar gives it a more relaxing feeling... like a childhood summer? So yeah, enjoying that and some German operetta arias and some Ink Spots songs at the moment... Comment! (1) | Recommend! Party party! Wednesday, August 20, 2014 I used to think I'd probably not enjoy parties at all but the ones I've been to have actually been pretty cool. Fro had a party tonight and it was pretty small, probably around ten to fifteen other people? We played Taboo and this game called Trash Bucket and there were three guys from a band who played some music with the instruments lying around. I brought macaroni and cheese, which got eaten up pretty quickly haha. One of the songs played was this: Ahhhh so good. Ben's friend also played some original songs on guitar, and they were awesome. Sadly she has no recorded versions, or I'd definitely share them. When she was playing her second song, the guys from the band gathered around and started chiming in with instruments and backup vocals. It was totally spur of the moment and so great, I wish I could have caught it on video. That moment felt so perfect. Anyway... I'm gonna meet a new friend on Friday for lunch I think!
