Well I'm proud of you for walking away from a job that asked you to do something you didn't agree with. And that's a pretty messed up thing to ask... "oh whatever, they're CHRISTIANS, they don't know the difference anyway, just tell them that Obama talks to the Lord on the telephone every evening. Religious people eat that shit up." I remember the election people were trying to get my dad to pose with a dog because "people like people who have dogs". My dad was like, "Yeah, but I don't have a dog... my dog died a few months ago." And they're like, "Whatever, we'll find a random dog." and he was like, "I DO NOT HAVE A DOG I AM NOT GOING TO PRETEND I HAVE A DOG TO TRY TO TRICK VOTERS BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR A GUY WHO HAS A DOG."

Also I'm sorry about your vagabond state. I hope she felt terrible making you cry. I WOULD NEVER MAKE YOU CRY LIKE THAT. Except maybe if I left you in a poorly locked room with a man-eating cat scratching at the door all night, but I wouldn't MEAN to make you cry. I would offer you that splendid room again if I lived there anymore and I'd take you to Orange Julius. Maybe you can go back to the State Department and ask around with your pals there.

I have a friend who is pretty connected with the non-profit scene in the DC area, maybe he could find you a place to stay/job if you wanted to stay in DC. Let me know if you want me to ask him. Do you have enough savings and all that? Could your Harvard lawyer friends at prestigious firms in NYC put you up in the penthouses that they earned on the backs of the poor? Lemme know.
