Waiting for the bus at 1 AM
Sunday. 3.27.11 4:05 pm
I stop rubbing my hands together long enough to wave off the bus driver slowing down in font of me. "He's a good guy," I say to Ephraim as the bus driver nods at me and drives off. "A bit .. odd.. what, with his asian fetish and all.. he keeps asking me about Anhimal, but whatev--."

"Listen, man," Ephraim interrupts. He turns his head and looks me in the eye. "Real talk... don't think you can trust these people. They'll sell you out in a heartbeat, man -- that's just how they are."

"Lets say your best friend robbed a bank. Would you turn him in?" I turn my head away from him and toward street that lays before us: Massachusetts Avenue. A block away lies Arlington street.

How fitting.

"No. I wouldn't."

"See, that's what I'm talking about. I ask other people here that and you know what I get? 'Well, I'd have to, right? Otherwise I'd be an accomplice!', or 'well, yeah, they broke the law. I'd have to.' These people, man.. they're individualistic, ambitious, success driven.. fuck everything else You know I asked my Korean grandma that question, man.. sweet as shit right, you know what she said?"
'I should....' You know what that means, man?"

"Yeah. It means your grandma is a part of the "No Snitching" crusade."

Hm, I don't think it's unrealistic if both people are on the same level of maturity and especially if they have similar goals in life/on the same path of life...and of course all that good stuff like similar interests/love for Justin Bieber's music.

I've dated a 19, 23, 26 and 29 year old. I don't judge based on age. I judge based on maturity. They all are very mature guys. Especially the 19 year old but he wasn't in school, nor was he working so it turned me off.

I would feel differently about a 15 year old dating a 20 year old. Underage is scary. I wouldn't want to deal with that. Even if the 15 year old is mature enough to handle it and the 20 year old has fantabulous self-control (you know what I'm talking about)...there's a significant gap with what they're doing in life... I am assuming the two people aren't pot heads or druggies who are living in their parent's basement.

WHAT IF YOUR FRIEND WAS A SERIAL KILLER????

Whatttt
It's not individualistic or whatever to turn someone in. It's sort of a douche move, but it IS the right thing to do...

Personally, I don't know. I know some of my friends to illegal things but I don't turn them in. Nothing as serious as robbing a bank though, so I don't know. For sure, if someone asked me about it I would rat them out though. I'm not going to outright lie though.

umm... can I move in next door to you?

...If your friend robs a band, they deserve to be turned in. It doesn't matter why they did it, unless they were forced... Banks hold other people's money, and your friend would be screwing those other people over. Not cool. X|
