Books
Books I have completed reading since January 2021:

1. The Enchanted - Rene Denfield
Congratulatory News
Monday, March 17, 2008
I was happy to receive a news from my ex-collegemate that he's going to be a father in October 9, 2008. I was very happy for my friend upon reading the email. This must be so exciting for my friend! And somehow ... I already got a vision of his kid's gender and its future. I need to state it down so I could come back here and check if my foresight is accurate or not. Haha...

Other than that, some of my friends have already married last year and this year. I'm very happy for them. In fact, these married friends are college sweethearts. So sweet!! And now they are now all over the world; one couple in Poland, and many more in Japan teaching English.

I can't wait for a reunion and it would be great to see all those younger generations!!!

People around here will use any kind of excuse to serve cheap alcohol to college students.

Cinco de Mayo is coming up and there should be good drink specials then too.

Awww... that's nice.. so.. renaye.. when are you going to be like them? I want my ang pau XD

They can charge a cover, for one. Also, the cheaper the drinks, the more customers they get.

Bars in college towns make looooots of money if they're managed right.

It was too late to ask. Besides, I don't have any of their phone numbers/e-mail addresses, so even if it were early enough to contact them, I wouldn't have any way to do so.

I always find it incredibly scary that some of my friends are getting married/having children. I think it's because I want to finish all my higher education/become financially secure before I will even THINK about doing either of those things. It's probably because my parents had me when they were just getting started in life, so I know it was tough for them to try to build their careers AND take care of a kid. I don't want to have to choose between my education/career and my children. That's such a hard choice.

I was reading your comment to ranor, and my priorities are similarly money, money, adventure, and MONEY! The money is mostly so I can have more adventure (and pay off my school loans!). But my friend is pregnant right now and it is so fun and cute, I would just feel so special walking around and doing all these normal things but knowing that there was a little human being secretly growing inside of you! Her husband has changed so much, now he's all concerned about the stability of the world because he wants to make sure his baby will be safe!!

*sigh*
They say "money doesn't bring hapiness"....but it sure helps. I read your comment as well and I know what you mean about money, that's a lot of what I've been thinking about lately. College is going to be so expensive, and if I want to continue travelling for jump rope I need to get either get a workstudy or find a real job WHILE being a part of the newspaper staff. Next year is going to be soooo busy and stressful...but fun too.

Gahh, that's so weird to imagine my friends getting married, let alone having kids o_0

I know that staying with my parents would cut costs, but I think it's worth the money to go live on my own. How would I make friends if I had to drive back home every day? Besides, the experience is going to be amazing, I feel like I have so much more growing up to do. I don't think living at home is going to help me mature at all
» The-Muffin-Man on 2008-03-19 03:42:43

haha i think attend wedding will be less hassle than marrying another :P

Hey Renaye
Thanx for the comment. People judge me on my clothes too. I feel most comfortable in pants and dont like to wear skirts. That does not make me a Lez.
