What a mess...
Friday, February 1, 2008 @ 10:54 pm
So I'm trying to clean up my room because I'm tired of looking around at the mess. It got to the point where it was more a distraction than anything and nothing of import (e.g. physics homework, my grad school statements) was getting done in a timely fashion.

So, instead of trying to work on those things, I'd decided to clean up, except that this is an even bigger distraction, and it actually seems like a bigger mess than what I started with.

It's getting to the point of the evening where I'm not sure whether to continue to completion or just sweep the old magazines, piles of papers, and random books off of my bed and call it a night. At least I don't have to be anywhere until 11:00 tomorrow morning so I guess whenever I decide to go to bed, I'll have a full night's sleep anyway.

Decisions, decisions.

ew, I hate when I'm cleaning and I end up making more of a mess than when I originally started with. good luck getting everything done that you need to do

re: haha! I thought about that after I had published the entry, but I'm too lazy to go back and change it. besides, if it does to others what it did to you, I could get some interesting comments =]

Usually I only clean up my room when I'm going to have people over for something or when I freak out because a spider is in my room. :P

If you've started though, it's probably a good idea to keep going...

It might have taken hours upon days upon weeks, but you know it was worth it.

Cleaning messes is always a good way to get motivated to work, because after you are done you have a nice clean area in which to work. The only problem is when it's a mess by someone else, and then you are too annoyed to work. :(
