A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

His girlfriend is coming from Spain and he's been cleaning the room they're going to be in for over an hour. Maybe two hours. They told me she was allergic to dust, so I guess he has to be really thorough. It's kind of amazing. I asked my uncle, "so, he's still cleaning?" and he said "yeah, well, he loves her." The effort this guy is putting in is really phenomenal. I mean, the cleaning thing is a little part of it, but beyond that... they have a long distance relationship, and the time difference between Hawaii and Spain is twelve hours. I'm sure technology makes it a bit easier, but that's GOTTA be rough. They're making it work, though... I'm completely awed by the dedication I'm seeing. I kind of wish I could care that much about someone... well, ideally it'd be a mutual thing. Then again I seem to make pretty bad decisions when it comes to relationships, so my next one will probably be just like my last two... Might as well delay it if I can. P.S. - If you see a chicken on Google+ it's probably me. P.P.S. - I'm kind of laughing at myself on the inside because I'm going to kill myself next quarter with my class schedule. Kill kill kill. Ha ha. D: 8 Comments. That is amazingly sweet. :3 » zana on 2011-07-16 10:20:04 Wow, two hours of cleaning one room. But I'm guessing they don't get to see each other very often so he wants to make her visit perfect. Re: After reviewing things like probably and Mendelian genetics (alleles and basic inheritance), we learn about DNA replication, transcription, & translation in a bit more depth than previous classes. There's some stuff about bacterial DNA transmission and then we're starting to learn about specific operons. » thisdisease on 2011-07-16 02:18:10 I wish Jacob would do something like that for me. Right now, though, it's like pulling teeth just to get him to clean the dishes. I'm not exactly having a good time right now, though ... sorry for the buzzkill comment. =/ that's good to know about the chicken thing, though. I'd probably be confused if I saw that a chicken sent me a request in Google + » LostSoul13 on 2011-07-16 07:30:52 that's so adorable! if i were that guy, i could definitely imagine being in such a flurry to make everything perfect. that seems so sweet of him! and i'm sure everyone wants a relationship like that (not long distance of course, but with the mutual care and effort), but i guess the important part is to just be patient about it. waiting, always the worst part, lol » hikarixgaki on 2011-07-16 08:44:19 My next semester is the fullest I've ever had. This time I won't drop anything, I keep telling myself. We'll see. X/ » invisible on 2011-07-18 03:18:56 wow... that guy .... is so thoughtful of his gf... i'm sure many girls would want this kind of guys ... » renaye on 2011-07-18 08:04:23 RC: a little caffeine. It also had selenium and iodine, though, so that should help, too. » jinyu on 2011-07-19 11:44:13 that's so sweet ^___^ that's some real dedication man. » dannixfresh on 2011-07-21 01:53:34
