A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! I still need to write a letter to him, too. D: Why does this seem so harddddddd... ---Edit--- Hey, cool. 4 Comments. awesome! meeting Silver! sweet. As for that guy, do your friends know him? Because if they know him and they tell you to break up with him, they probably know what they're talking about (and maybe they see something you don't). If they don't know him, then it is less likely that they are right, but still possible if their advice is based on what you tell them about him. » Zanzibar on 2009-09-24 06:12:04 Hahaha wwiiiieeeerd you're meeting up with a Nutanger...you must document this well. And also take pictures. Hmm interesting video. A lot different than what I was expecting to hear... » The-Muffin-Man on 2009-09-25 05:12:16 that video was interesting. i didn't really know what satanists believe, but i could assume that it would be a literal "devil worshiper." i think that is half right. also, i don't understand why someone would be AGAINST organized religion, but i guess to each their own. as for my own opinion, any form of atheism is naive. but what do i know... » thaitanic on 2009-09-25 08:50:00 well for starters, it's easy for someone to just say "nope" to the hundreds, or thousands of religions across the world. not to say that one or more of them are right or wrong, but atheism is just a way to write everything off. by looking around at nature, how plants, animals, and everything else just works, i find it a stretch that it all came from nothing. how could life not exist, and then all of the sudden exist? atheists believe that it just all of the sudden formed itself. SOMETHING had to happen. attempts to create life from nothing more than different chemical reactions has always resulted in failure. thus, there has to be another element there. not saying that it is any particular god, but i think it could be. of course, i also think that sticking to one religion and not having an open mind is naive as well. but like i said, what do i know? » thaitanic on 2009-09-25 09:32:41
