You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

'Twas not the most foolish of April days...
Wednesday, April 1, 2009
Nobody really gives a crap about anything around here. Bleh.

If there were any shenanigans taking place I did not witness them. :P

My seventy one song album, the purchase of which I initially regretted, is starting to redeem itself. I like "If You Don't Love Me (The Future Sound of London Mix)" by Prefab Sprout a lot...

I'm starting to wonder if getting older is changing my musical tastes. I've been listening to so much more relaxed stuff these days it's hard not to come to that conclusion. Of course, it could always be a phase.

[Wow, I never thought there'd be a day where I'd trade She Wants Revenge for Sven van Hees... the song Breakfast With Abductees to be specific]

Um... No-Dairy week started today... so far, so good I guess.

There's some profundity floating around in my head, but I don't feel like writing anything deep at the moment.

---Edit---

Mm, I may be wrong about the music thing. That's just for electronic music. Now I'm going to back to listening to Rape This Day by Tomahawk. Good golly Miss Molly, I sure love this song.

---Edit Two---

Looking up the lyrics for "God Hates A Coward" (Tomahawk). Just typing in "god hates" brings up all these amusing suggestions:

god hates shrimp
god hates us all
god hates figs
god hates amputees
god hates sweden

And then at the bottom, "god hates a coward lyrics". :P

---Edit Three---

Laughing so hard right now.

If I ever wore a dress it would probably be something like this: CLICKIES
Or THIS.

Ehhh
It doesn't show up right on Chrome either...but it works in IE. Curses, why can't browsers just all operate on the same display engine.

It's ok nobody really cares about April Fool's over here either...although I do have some friends who set off the fire alarm at midnight last night as part of a joke. Har har?

No, I just draw on myself a lot. I'm too fickle to get permanent ink. Plus, it's a lot more fun to just have something for a day, wash it off when you shower, and start all over again. (Not to mention, it makes the time pass more quickly in really boring classes.)

I noticed that I draw on myself more when I'm interested in someone. This means that right now, I am drawing something new every day at the very least...

I can't draw people or things, but apparently I'm very good at patterns or other abstracts.

Maybe I was a tribal tattooist in a past life. :D

I do believe April fools is just meant for the elementary/middle school kids and for those few adults who are really into and good at playing pranks.

your taste in music is also affected, sometimes, by the people you're around.

April Fool's Day Joke Idea by my friend Jared:

"Just walk up to a freshman, punch him, and say 'April fools!' then walk away"

Those are the only shenanigans that went on in Texas. lol.
