You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

He joined for the great discounts on all his favorite products.

[I just wanted someone to say "handsome devil")

---End of edit---

ONLY A MONTH UNTIL HALLOWEEN! :0

Egad, I need to find a costume.

[By the way, when did I stop saying 'oh boo'?]

I re-created the bandaged-faced girl in Physio. The teacher was lecturing so I sketched her and sort of gave her a full body... except it's hidden by this big sheet/towel thing. Also her feet are in a position that I'm fairly certain would be quite uncomfortable in real life. But it's okay.

We colored in Physio. That was pretty much all we did besides listen to the lecture. I was wondering why it seemed so familiar, and Alice said I probably did it back in Bio. (I had the same teacher)

So I need to finish coloring all the little.... things whose names I know not yet, and such.

Also there was an Econ thing I was supposed to do but I can't open the file he posted so I guess I just won't be able to do it. (And I don't know anyone in the class I could ask for help, except for this one friend-of-a-friend-with-whom-I-am-friendly, but I don't know her number. :|)

---

Right now I'm listening to more chill electronic music... Eternally by Can 7 ft. Angela Caran, to be exact... It's in the player, if you want to hear...

Supposedly we're changing seats in Lit. next class period? I really, really, don't want to sit next to the nerdy overachievers who all picked Batman as their hero for the collage project. D:

And I'm not kidding, guys. They seriously did. And their "collages" were mostly just a couple of pictures printed out and glued to a paper. It was terrible!

Though I'm 99% sure I won't get to sit next to any of my friends, or rather, friendly acquaintances, I'm hoping I'll be near someone I can at least talk to. :|

[Random: I seem to be zoning out at weird times and just not realizing things. Ex: My mom hands me her purse/bag to hold. I hold it for a few minutes, then look down and wonder how it got there. At least, I'm assuming that's how it happens... maybe something supernatural and teleport-y is going on here. :0]

---Edit---

The video's eh, but the song isn't bad.

I used to smoke. It really helped to get stuff done (especially during thesis time!!!), but my lung capacity was somewhat diminished, which was bad since I was on the ballroom dance team.

I still miss it every once in a while--the feeling of my nervous system firing off more action potentials (physiology note, since you're taking the class: nicotine is an agonist for the nicotinic cholinergic receptors, meaning that it will allow your resting membrane potential to be depolarized, thus allowing APs to be fired off more easily). It's a hard feeling to describe... I think it's kinda like... if your brain feels cloudy, and all of a sudden someone shines a bright light and clears away some of the fog.

Of course, the trade-off is that you're damaging your lungs and risking cancer. That and the fact that you need progressively larger doses to attain the same result.

Despite that, the worst part was how much the habit cost. (I was confident that by the time cancer manifested itself, I or someone like me would have found a way to cure cancer, haha!)

Nicotine is wonderful at what it does... the unfortunate part is that those transdermal patches--while you'd avoid all the crap from smoke inhalation--are way more expensive than cigs.

Clearly, I needed to find a way to live without nicotine, or to pay for the drug. Obviously, I chose the former. But there's no telling what enough stress can make me do in the future.

Hopefully, whatever it is, it's cheap!

yea, maybe it is sum supernatural thingies going on around ... haha

I'd love to see that holloween costume.

maybe i'll go trick or treating on 2nd life, I actually could, ,lol. It really is no ultimate purpose to that game ,just whatever you want to make happen in that game, you can , whether you want to work in the game, RP in there, or be a prostitute in the game

Oh, man. I hate those things. First, they taste like crap. (This is odd coming from the ex-smoker, but I smoked cloves, so at least they tasted pleasant.) Second, they're expensive, too. I think it's more likely that I'll be buying more coffee in bulk and brewing my own espresso. Cheaper than buying an espresso-based drink at a coffee shop.

I just need to remember to bring my Thermos back to SD next time I go home.

eggs could be egg cells,
pancakes could be "flat" boobs. Apparently that's a guy thing, though, because nobody knew what I was talking about.

Remember Beato? Do you still like songs that are...bouncy like that? Fast paced?
» middaymoon on 2008-10-01 07:20:33

Lame dress, and I don't get the twisty knot thing on the top of her head.

But the song is nice and, well, chill.

And I have NO idea what I want to do for Halloween, if anything. Maybe I'll have friends over for movies? idk...

and, um
I just realized that in your avatar's mouth-area, it is indeed a pair of lips, and not a mustache as I had first assumed.

I still like to think it's a mustache, though. ha
