A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! And I forgot to copy it. :/ My mom is reading Fast Food Nation and she's really into it... She keeps calling me over to show me the latest little interesting tidbit of information. Last thing was "McMerde"... did I know what that meant in french... I considered telling her that I did know, having looked it up sometime last year, but decided that would be a bad thing to say. I just told her I knew but we didn't learn it at school. I've been watching Invader Zim... I'm kind of sad that they don't show it on Nick anymore. I mean, it used to scare me, but now I think it's kind of cool. I wish I could put the episodes on my iPod. For now all I have is YouTube. Anybody know how to put DVD's on your iPod? I appreciate Invader Zim and Gir and all, but this is a bit weird. 5 Comments. Hehe, I remember Invader Zim I watched its premier on nick, it was a pretty funny show. It seemed like they barely made any episodes though. » ManOfDarkSunglasses on 2007-01-22 12:24:04 Um...I would imagine that the DVD would just need to be in the right format to be put on your iPod (granted, your iPod is a video iPod)...is there even enough room for a whole DVD to fit on an iPod? Movies are MANY gigs... » lazypuppy on 2007-01-22 12:41:28 Yeah It's certainly possible lazypuppy. DVDs hold many gigs of video data, but when movies are converted for the iPod the movie quality is reduced significantly (since its only playing on a small screen anyway) so that it doesn't take up much room on the iPod harddrive. The trick is finding a program that can take the DVD, get around all of the copyright protection and spit out a video file in a format that iTunes can read. I'm afraid that I don't know of any of those programs myself though, since I don't own an iPod video. I've seen friends use them though. » ManOfDarkSunglasses on 2007-01-22 08:34:52 Hahaha That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't know why that picture weirds me out so much. » elessar257 on 2007-01-22 11:00:24 actually i exaggerated because it stopped in two hours. and we had some flurries today for like 5 seconds » Ajibalaji89 on 2007-01-22 12:51:30
