You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

I still like to read your posts and I try to read them when you post them.

You can't have it both ways. dave wants NuTang to grow and with growth there will be more people and blogs. Hell those people may blog more then once a day because they have something more to say later on.

Blogging is a competition? Seems to me you're the one putting yourself into the competition by wanting to be on the list and not just being happy with being here and with us. /shrug Then again I got kicked off/politely requested to leave my baseball team when I was little for cheering for the other team when they were up to bat.

re: Asians
Since you replied on mine I figured you'd want me to reply on yours.

Well then you really hate me.

1) I'm Korean...I think... /asks boyfriend Yeah, I'm Korean. :)
2) I LOVE anime/manga.

Isn't NuTang like mainly Chinese people or something? I thought that's what Kuri said about it before... If it makes you feel better I don't look at that list of who just made a blog. I normally have certain people who I like to check on. If they are "friends" I check on them more often since most, like iki, are trying to get something or wanting to get something. I figure I would normally just buy it for them so why not send some clicks their way. :)
» Katrina on 2006-11-06 10:22:23

Oi, you're pickin' fights! Aw, we all like, reallly like, like you all the same. Quote muffin-man: 'NuTang isn't a contest. The Top Ten list isn't a prerequisite for us to like you.' End qoute. He said that to ME.

'So don't worry about it!'
» Silver-dot- on 2006-11-06 10:30:45

More stories! Don't waste your precious energy on venting--that'd make me sad, you randomness.

Mo' stowies, pwease!
» Silver-dot- on 2006-11-06 10:42:32

I see said the blind man...
I guess it's true. Although I'd say the people I know aren't all Asian those that moved here with Kuri are. /shrug Well Fight-O! I hope you get into the top 10 like you want. :)
» Katrina on 2006-11-06 10:45:30

I agree... sort of
sometimes its hard for me to keep up with some of the blogs. But I remember when I joined Nutang some two years ago. Hardly anyone knew about it. It got kinda boring reading the same things over and over. Now you have plenty of variety.

I'm sorry that this feels like a competition for you, but don't worry about it. If you want it bad enough, then I hope you get it. Its always good to get the things you want. :) ~>sorry that this is long.
» LostSoul13 on 2006-11-06 11:12:25

Fret not, my dear friend. NuTang has been growing lately, but I still hasn't lost its warm, friendly feel.

Healthy competition is good. I think what you need is.. to invite more of your friends to ensure a steady stream of comments. =D
» dave on 2006-11-07 01:52:12

Excuse me,...
1) What's wrong with being asian?
2) What's wrong with liking anime?
3) What's wrong with inviting friends?
4) So what is it your trying to say? That you prefer a small, not quite active community? As in a message board that you can see posts from days to weeks before?

I don't understand. You replied on Katrina's blog that you don't care about being on the top ten, so why do you mind about other peoples' popularity points? It's not as if we visit and comment so points go up... it's just people have things to say. And your quote of "people who advertise the most only have asian friends," now that's just wrong. Don't assume what you don't know? How can you, "hate asians," when your an asian yourself, more so do you believe that's it's right to group them together? It's not like I completely don't understand where your going with that, because there are some commonalities that I detest as well. Also, what's wrong with liking anime? It's just another item that people take interest in like writing, reading, sports and such, if your going to critisize it, at least give a reason? If we're not meant to invite friends, why do we have invite codes?

And some more apologetic things to say, I'm sorry but your comments that were on Katrina blog, contradict yourself and one of them contradict on what you have blogged on your own site... And Nutang isn't competitive, your just making it look that way to yourself. Just because your rank has dropped doesn't necessarily mean your overall popularity level has dropped, think of it in a larger scale.
» Panda-Lord on 2006-11-07 01:55:21

LOL
Do you realize how silly it is to even blame Kuri a smudge? The only person who's on the active board right now is me from her group of friends. The only people last week of her friends on the top 10 was Razzly (for obvious reasons) and I.

Oh no you're being pushed down and you don't like it. You can't say you don't care about being on the lists when you obviously do otherwise you wouldn't be whining about being not as "popular". When places grow, things are always going to change and so will your "status" in it.
» Katrina on 2006-11-07 09:47:49

geeze
the one time that i get beaten to comment you, and it was on this particular entry...how ironic. that's kind of the way i feel, though.

i get into nuTang, got super popular, and my grades went down. so i pay more attention to school, and i can barely hit top 10 active, none-the-less top 25. lol. it's fine with me, that's the way it used to be. but still

and i don't particularly like anime either, especially when people obsess about it. NOT THAT ANYONE HERE DOES (this is NOT sarcasm), but i know people who do.

maybe we're just mad cause they have the time to put into nuTang and we don't
