Dark Soy Sauce Souce Chicken Drumstick :P *Yummy*

Dear Diary,


Yesterday, i in charged of the dinner, and this is what i cooked.




Ingredients:
1: 4 drumstick (since I only have 4 of it)
2: 2 1/2 tablespoon of Dark Soy Sauce
3: 1 teaspoon of Sugar
4: a pinch of salt
5: 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Method:
1. de-skin the drumstick and cut a few lines on the meat to marinate.
2. marinate the drumsticks with dark soy sauce and sugar, it for an hour or more.. the longer u marinate the better it taste :P.
3. heat the olive oil and on low fire, put in the drumsticks.
4. sprinkle some salt, sugar and dark soy sauce on the drumsticks. Covered the drumstick to cook. [remember low fire, you doesn�t want your drumstick to burn]
5. turned the drumsticks every 5-10 min. you can sprinkle some sugar while doing so if you think is not sweet enough.
6. Once cooked. served it with rice...

I love this recipe, imagine my dog (Lucky) steal my drumstick when I walked to the kitchen to do something. (yes I eat in front of my TV at the low table) hahaha

Kimchi Jigae a.k.a Kimchi Soup - recipe

Dear Diary,





Yesterday, i decided to cook kimchi soup, since i have 4 small rolls of kimchi left over... haha mum been making noise for having it for so long i didnt finish it..

sadness i used it when i cook my instant noodle ma... haih..

Ingredients
1 small onion, cut into thin wedges
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. oil
3 Tbsp chicken broth
100gram beef or pork or chicken, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. sesame oil
kimchi
1 tofu
1 green onion cut in 1" length

Methods
1. Heat a medium nonstickpan or saucepan.
2. Put in the onions until turned brown, and add in garlic and green onion
3. Put in the meat (marinate the meat with sesame oil, and you can put some soysauce too) and stir it till half cooked.
4. Place the "1-3" into saucepan and pour in a mixture of 1 cup water with 3 tblsp of chicken broth (my chicken broth is very thick, if ur chicken broth is waterish, you can just replace it with chicken broth instead of water)
5. Add in the kimchi into the broth and bring it to boil.
6. Add in tofu and stir slowly (u dont want to break the tofu)
7. Ready to serve .

i dont really follow the step i read from the net because my net was crazy yesterday, however the soup turned out Yummy.. but if i have the extra kimchi chili paste it would taste nicer....

haha my mum dont like it... but i loving it :P

Almond Macaroon (from very old book recipe)

Dear Diary,


It been zillion years I didnt bake... yesterday, with permission, i tried baking Macaroon (muahah I dont even know what it that but is easy n SIMPLE!) so... of me go...

Ingredients:
1: 225g of Ground Almond (will taste nicer if slighty roaster - well is not in the book instruction but... i think it will taste nicer instead of raw almond touches on ur tongue later)

2. 225g of castor sugar (trust me you wanted to reduce to 50g, which i reduced to 125g and is still so sweet!)

3. 4 egg white size C (size 3)

Method:
1. Put in the Ground Almond, Castor Sugar and unbeaten egg white into a big bowl and star stirring until it mixed well :D

2. Use rice paper (alternative to this is clean plastic bag) and make it into a cone, cut a small hold and pump the mixture into the baking plate (grease it with margerin or butter, or u can replace it with edible rice paper - yes edible plz, if not the end product will stick on the paper) Note: there were no butter used hence it will stick on the plate.

3. Heat up the oven 160 C or 325 F, bake the macaroon for 15min to 20min until it turn slight golden brown~.

4. let it cool on the rack and served. :D




My 1st trial of Macaroon... muaha... the smell of Almond is oishii... (confess! my dog keep chasing me for more)

Dried Spicy Meat + Egg Fried Rice - Lunch

Dear Diary,


Ingridients:
1 egg
Cooked rice
salt to taste

100gm meat (Finely chopped) - chicken, pork, beef or other meat (not sea food)
2 table spoon of serai? (blended)
1 table spoon olive oil
1 or 2 table spoon of dried chili (blended)
3 kaffir lime (finely chopped)
salt and sugar to taste

Method:
Egg Fried Rice

1. Beat the egg, and soak in with the rice and set aside for about five minutes.
2. Heat the oil and pour the rice with egg and stir fried it.
3. stir the rice wth egg until it turned golden..

Dried Spicy Meat
1. Heat the oil, and add in blend lemon grass and blend dried chili, until the aroma came out (ok it does sound weird)
2. pour in the meat, and stir fried it, add some water and curry leaves , and cook until dried.
3. served :D
