I guess the amount of reconciliation depends on a lot of factors--how and why they were hurt, how strong/mature the love is, how hard both are willing to work to repair things. Forgiveness is hard, and so is coming to the person you hurt to ask for that forgiveness. I'm just starting to recognize how lucky he and I were to have both cared as much as we did.
