Today has been beautiful thus far (granted...it's only 8:15 in the morning), but still...when you wake up to powder blue sky and cheerful sun, it can only get better, right? The weather report says it's supposed to be 85 degrees today, so I can't complain about that. I can't believe it's almost October and it's still that hot...CRAZY!

Well, I've not posted a picture of Colorado for a while, so I thought I'd post another one. I haven't gotten out much to take pictures, so I figured I'd post someone else's (haha)...



This is Bear Lake. I've been there on numerous occasions and my picture would not be doing this picture any justice at all. This is the lake in the Autumn...pretty soon, it's gonna start to snow up there...and we'll get the pictures I have of Bear Lake. Here's mine:



Same place...tons of snow and ice. People like to walk the ice with snow shoes and all that. There are a series of lakes up there beyond Bear Lake that you can hike around 5 miles too that I am determined to do at some point in time. It'd be a damn dirty shame if I didn't!

But anyway, enough about places that I want to go and all that. Today is baby ultrasound numero dos! It's at 5pm this afternoon (I have to wait SOOO long), but hopefully the baby will want to show it's beautiful face and quit being shy . I'm dragging my best friend down there with me (my boyfriend's working...he can't come) so she can see stuff. I hate to think that I'm traumatizing her or anything making her do all this baby stuff with me. I feel so bad since I know she miscarried her baby. She doesn't want me to go to an ultrasound alone because the first ultrasound she ever had on her baby (it was around 5 months or so) showed her that she lost her baby. I know it makes her sad to see that I'm having a baby, but she's been a real great friend about it! I'm sure she's going to get extremely emotional when I actually have it...and I'm so glad that she still wants to be there!

My house is a disaster...but I suppose that's the price I pay for being lazy. I just have no desire to pick it up...no one comes over here...lol...so why should I be tidy for me? Well, I keep it tidy enough to where food doesn't rot or anything and I clean out my fridge and stuff, but I'm just talking about paper and junk mail and all that shit. I'm so unlike any other girl! Granted, if I were living with someone, I'd be cleaning the house up (and I'll be doing that with the baby around because there's no way I'm going to create hazards for the baby).

Has anyone ever seen Carnivale? It's that TV show on HBO. Here's what it's about:

CARNIVALE follows a traveling carnival as it wends its way across the Dust Bowl, focusing on Ben Hawkins, a mysterious 18-year-old fugitive with hidden talents who is taken in by the carnival, and Brother Justin, the charismatic, shadowy evangelist who will ultimately cross his path. The series takes place at a time of worldwide unrest, with evil on the rise around the globe and the Great Depression wreaking economic and social havoc here at home.

It's incredibly interesting...and I've sort of gotten addicted to it. Granted, I don't have HBO to watch it, but I have a "pirate" of a boyfriend who was able to get it for me...lol

EDIT: This made me laugh...I guess San Francisco is not a good place for stretch limos! I wonder if anyone was in the limo when that happened??

well, i can say i've never been to colorado. i can also say i've never seen carnivale. but i HAVE been to san francisco, and i, frankly, do not like those roads... ugh.
