I doubt I will ever fully understand Psychology.

I mean, every single human and plant and animal and organism is different from one another.
I just don't understand how you can even try to apply some kind of common theory towards an entire race.
Understanding the mind, inside and out. Common behaviors, certain reactions, learned reflexes. Generalizing humans with monkeys because they just happen to also have opposable thumbs.
It just doesn't make sense. Not to me, anyway.
Perhaps I'm thinking more about how some psychologists strive to read out a human mind completely. Many want to observe certain learning processes, and prove if their theories are true or false. Accurate or inaccurate. Right or wrong.
Is there never some kind of in between?
His point isn't to tell you that we can generalize, or that there's a right and wrong. Prince generally tells us there is of course no right or wrong, but that we have to take a stand for the sake of arguing.
I think we can all agree that psychology, like sexuality, personality, and so many other aspects, is fluid.
And, just as a side note...we generalize because we have enough proof to say it usually works. It's how we get through our human interactions every day.

You're missing the entire point of the science, psychologists exist to expand the knowledge of the individual human being in order to improve methods of treatment.
Theories test the validity of possible explanations for human behavior (learning, cognitive, biological, humanistic perspective) in order to create successful treatments for conditions.
Psychology shouldn't be used for one's own benefit but for the benefit of the human species as a whole.
