Crazy like a bedbug!

So I felt the need to bake a cake.

I take the time to grease/flour the pan, all of that, and I bake the cake.

It smells AWESOME. Just like Dave's mom's cake, the ends were small and the middle rose properly.

I let the cake cool, and went to dump it on a plate. Guess I didn't let it cool enough, because it BROKE when I was dumping it!!! T.T

I cut the broken part and made cake-sammiches with it, cake on either side, icing in the center.

I left the intact part in the pan, I'm going to let it fully cool, and then see if it falls out.

Stupid oven.

Actually, I wondered if the fact that the oven isn't clean, thanks to burnt chickens and other things that have been there FOREVER and aren't even recognizable, they are just pure carbon now.

OK, another funny. I was in Walmart, and I saw White Person. He says "hey! it's a black person! you're not supposed to shop at walmart!"

To which I reply "of course I am! It's the only place black people are allowed to shop! I'm sure the cashier always has troublesome black people come through all the time! Look at him, he's starting the smile, it's TOTALLY true!" And White Person and I start laughing, while the cashier goes "WHAT???!"

It was entertaining.

I think you need ultra-nonstick spray. Or you could just grease the pan with a whole stick of butter. :P

Cakes aren't my thing, and personally I think they taste better warm, but if you freeze it in the pan it might not break.

I could have put it on my credit card.

It would have sucked because I am trying to pay OFF the card, but this is the sort of thing that's important enough for which to disregard financial sense... at least temporarily.

And now I'm screwed because of it.

You know, ovens and microwave ovens are all the same. once you burn something or spill it in the oven you need to clean it right away or it stays for a lifetime! And YES the smell is horrendous! However you spell the word.. it still smells the same. Stink!

Yeah, halloween is fun when people are not cruel. I have candies in my office for all the students that come and visit and the witch was like my outside decoration to let them know that it is decorated inside. Hopefully lure them to come in and get candy. Now... I dunno.

I made my ex a birthday cake once and part of it broke in the floor. I had to ice it back together bc I didnt have enough time to bake another one. It was gross.

is it a western culture of not washing the pans after using it baking whatsoever??? i got freak out when i saw my aunt putting back her pan after baking chicken into the cupboard.

Your idea for making hula hoops sounds like it'd be fun! You should look into it and see if doing something like that would be possible and what you'd need to do it.
