Hi. My name if Bil H, & I'm a fatty, fatty, bombalaty. It isn't so much that I care about being under 6ft tall and over 300lbs, except for the difficulty in finding clothes that fit (I'll be happy when the baggy clothes fad fades out for a while); what I care about is I finally did the math and figured out how much weight my body fat percentage works out to be. I'm carrying around nearly 180lbs of fat!!! That's 18 bags of potatoes, a skinny version of me (according to the weight charts), 16,329 pats of butter (a pat is a single serving of butter), or $326.68 worth of pennies.

I had been "working" on my weight. I have a weigh-in buddy, and we check to see how each other is doing, but I wasn't really motivated until I could visualize my excess weight. It occurred to me I need to do more to reduce my weight. The first thing that popped into my head was to keep a journal of what I eat and how much I exercise. Knowing misery loves company...I mean support helps with motivation, I decided to post my journal on the internet. I know I can't find more people in one place than that. I'll try to make it a little interesting, but don't hold me to it.

On Sunday August 8, 2010, I ate a bowl of cereal, a bowl of menudo, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a slice of lemon meringue pie, and two pork ribs. I rode on my stationary bike for 30 minutes, and did various chores around the house for about a half hour (yes, I'm counting that as exercise). Other than that, I went to church and sat around working on my laptop.

Fitness Journal #2

This isn't even as exciting as I thought it would be. Just so you know, I'm hungry, tired, and my ass hurts from riding the bike. I'll try to do stuff that'll be more interesting for the next journal entry but no promises.

On Monday August 9, 2010, I ate a bowl of salad, a peanut butter sandwich (I was out of jam), a couple handfuls of carrots, and a foot long Spicy Italian Sub (guess where from) without mayo or oil. I rode on my stationary bike for 30 minutes, and walked about a half mile. Other than that, I mostly sat around working on my laptop.
