I moved my vocal lesson to next Monday because I need some time to sit around and actually practice piano, vocals and japanese. I don't have to work until 6 and it's starting to rain. I think the world wants me to practice too. The thunder seems to agree with that statement. The sky is light grey yet I can hear thunder out... I haven't seen that happen in a long time. It better not turn green.

My Parental Unit #2 asked me if I could go next door and baby-sit while the neighbor got her car fixed. Why not? How hard could it be to baby sit 2 hyperactive little girls? It was not hard at all. We looked through books about Sesame Street and color and I read them a part of the Cinderella story. Then we went to the toy room and they showed me all of their toys. Plastic food, soccer ball, plastic cosmetics, a barbie tent, Backpack from Dora The Explorer. and an electronic book that teaches you how to say the alphabet when you put your finger on a letter. Later on my neighbor stopped by and told me that the girls wanted their Mom to go to the car place again to get her car fixed so we could go play. Awwww, how cute.

I recorded a song this morning on my guitar. It's another cover (an original song is coming soon, promise) called Blackwinged Bird by Emm Gryner. You can listen to all of my previous songs by clicking the All Songs button in the Latest Song module.

I think the weather has gone schizophrenic. It was raining a few minutes ago but now it's sunny. Make up your mind! I've made up mine: I'm going to practice piano.

My little cousin used to have one of those phonetic alphabet push-button toys. I used to try to make it form dirty words.

One of my favorite things to do when it rains is nap on the couch with all of the windows open, especially if its a warm rain. During my freshman year at college, I did this frequently in the lounge in our hall. Sometimes I would bring some work to do, but most of the time it wouldn't get done anyway. Instead, I'd wrap myself in my soft blanket and fall asleep to the noise of the raindrops hitting the balcony.

This is one of the reasons I'm so excited to have a tree-shaded balcony at my new apartment in San Diego. When it rains, it will sound beautiful. (Only thing is, I'd be worried about my grades at that point because nothing would get done, haha!)

Oh man. I remember Speak and Says. Or Spell and Speak. Whatever they're called. Nothing says fun like making an electronic device say dirty things. Calculators could do more than just mathematics back in the day.

Rain is the best for sleeping. Everything seems so much more cozy. Kind of wish it would rain now. I could use a good nap. Kindergarteners and Preschoolers have it made. Mandatory nap time was fabulous.

R:C and more
I never liked nap time when I was little. Now I wish there were more of it!

So I work in an exobiology lab, so there isn't really any heavy machinery to speak of... but there's glassware. Tons of it. And nasty chemicals. All of which I have to handle. So far, so good... I just need to hold on for one more hour...!

And also...
...LOL, you said "eh?" :D

Hmm, sounds like the weather in Hawaii. I could just be looking outside and it'd rain for about five minutes even though there weren't any clouds. :P

Yeah, I said it.
Ranor: Sometimes I type like I talk. Exobiology you say? Sounds like chemically hazardous fun! I'm about to head off to work myself. No glassware or chemicals, but there is theft and screaming children. What lengths people will go to just to steal a $20 plain white t-shirt... or $115 jeans.

Randomjunk: Never been to Hawaii, but my parents have and they loved it. I hear they have macadamia nuts as far as the eye can see.

Don't worry. I think it's endearing.

AND: I managed to NOT spill anything on myself OR break any glassware, so take THAT cold medicine--you can't break me!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I mean. Ahem. Right.

Screaming children. Oh lord knows I can't deal with those. You're a far braver man than I.

Aww. I try to be American and use "Huh?" sometimes, but it just doesn't sound right. How do you guys do it?

Hooray for you not spilling anything on yourself. Hand-eye co-ordination is one of your good qualities I see. You stick it to the man! Cold medicine can't hold you down! Nu-unh! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!

... Sorry, got a little carried away there with my empowerment. Sometimes it takes over.

I'm the kind of guy who likes children that can be handed back to their rightful owners at the end of the day. I've never babysat a day in my life until today and I don't plan on making a career out of it. I'll do it because I'm nice, but I'm not one for kids. Maybe later on in life... but my friends will have children I can steal, so there's no rush.
