I have been in debt to the credit card company too long! I hate how easy it is to swipe that card, and use money that really isn't mine to begin with.

So I cut it up. I have decided to pay it all back this year, and budget really really well. Without this credit card, I feel like I will finally be financially responsible. I am looking forward to work again, and I will gladly pay for this credit card bill :)

But, I didn't tell my mom. I think she wouldn't approve of me cutting up my credit card, just in case of an emergency. But I realized that if people didn't live with credit cards before, we can do it again!

That is so good. Credit card debt is one of the worst kinds of debt. You should always be able to pay off your whole balance every month, no matter what. If you won't be able to pay it off, don't use it! Now you just need to save up an "emergency" fund so that you can use that in case of an emergency!

Well done! I need to follow suit, I reach for my credit card too quickly when I don't want to pay for something expensive. Even when I can afford it! Which is stupid.
