How far will you go to find the remote for your dvd player so that you can take english subtitles, off of an english speaking movie?! I spent a whole half hour to find the remote for the dvd player. and i ended in not finding it.

It just buggs me soooo much! i hate watching a movie with subtitles that are english when i speak english! i understand! me comprende! when ever there's subtitles i read them. why do i read them? i have no idea. That, is why i hate subtitles in english for an english speaking movie.

I have the subtitles on eventhough it's an english movie when I can't have the volume up or the sound quality sucks. But sometimes, the subtitles are funny because they don't make any sense at all and is so different from whatever the actor/actress is saying.

An ex-roomate of mine used to watch all television shows with 'closed captioning' on. She wasn't deaf nor hard of hearing.

My little brother used to turn the closed caption on whenever he was watching TV. I'm not sure why. He could hear just fine; he would get in trouble frequently whenever he would turn it on on a TV other than the one he had in his own room. Oh well. I hope you find your remote soon.

Yeah... english subtitles for english movies is pretty stupid.

I liked reading the captions sometimes, but that's only for the TV, not movies.
