"I was sitting behind 50 Cent and he told me I was gonna win, I didn' t believe it"-Chamillionaire
Chamillionaire, Beyoncé , and Slim Thug all snabbed VMAs last night (August 31st).
Cham looked like he was about to have a breakdown while accepting his award for "Best Rap Video," but he still managed to summon enough composure to shout out the fallen soldiers: DJ Screw, Fat Pat, and Big Hawk. It's no surprise that Curtis "Interscope" Jackson knew that the award would go to Koopa, but, I don't know that anybody else deserved it better. MTV finally got something right. By the way, Cham has confirmed that him and Fitty have been working on a lil' somethin' together in the studio.
Speaking of collaborations, Beyoncé 's joint with Slim Thug, "Check on It," unsurprisingly clinched the "Best R&B Video" award. I wonder if Slim is excited about winning a moonman that says "Best R&B Video." Well, at least, he went out there to support his collaborator (Thugga was on stage before Beyoncé even realized she had won), unlike Snoop who just sat stiff when those ugly ass Pussycat Dolls won an award for their Snoop-featured hit, "Buttons". Snoop was shaking his head like "I don't know them hoes."
Anyhow, this year's show was boring from intro to outro, but congratulations to Slim, Bey, and of course, Chamillionaire for their respective awards.
