1. Wonder twins powers de-activate. As of late, it seems like the black Donny & Marie, a.k.a. Brandy and Ray J have traded places. Ray J has gone from being the underachieving sibling who got in trouble with the law to a starry eyed fool who is dying to be blessed by Whitney Houston, while Brandy went from being a starry eyed fool who was dying to be blessed by Whitney Houston to being an underachieving sibling who gets in trouble with the law . WTF?
Soulman is hedging bets that Brandy's brother is less interested in puttin' it on Nippy and more interested in points on her album. As for Bran Bran the jury is still out, but I'll hedge that she be 'sitting on top of the world' again real soon, 'cause nothing brings inspiration in the studio like some good ol' misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
Peep an excerpt from a bulletin sent from Brandy's MySpace page:
Brandy "wishes to publicly express her condolences to the family of the deceased and asks that you respect the privacy of everyone involved at this time...Brandy is doing alright since the accident and is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on her new album, due out later this year."
2. 911 is a joke. Especially if LaToya Jackon is the officer that responds to your emergency call. Our 5th favorite Jackson is starring in the reality series "Armed & Famous" where a bunch of has beens and one "never was"- in LaToya's case - train to be law enforcement officials and patrol the streets of Muncie, Indiana.
"Doing this job is the total antithesis of who I am and what I'm about. I don't work out... I'm not aggressive, (and) I've never picked up a gun before," LaToya told Star Pulse. Shit maybe she should run for president.
Homegirl got so inspired that she plans to return to Indiana, her home state, after the show to continue her police work. Two questions. Where was she when they needed her at Neverland Ranch and why didn't they put her ass in like Compton.
3. It Ain't Baby Phat, Just Fat Baby. Mini mogul Tyra Banks challenges the establishment by adding yet another job to her already extensive resume... PLUS SIZE MODEL. After paparazzi caught the talk show host off guard on the beach in a bathing suit, rumors surfaced that the former Victoria's Secret model had ballooned to a whopping 161 pounds. By black people's standards, with Tyra's 5'10" frame, this is normal... even considered thin to some. Oh what a day when the tables will turn.
In true mogul fashion, Tyra fired back by appearing on the cover of People magazine in a bathing suit with a headline that read "You Call This Fat?" In a word, HellMuthaFugginYea! Soulman loves Tyra like cooked food but I like my models super not necessarily super-sized, unless they start that way. No worries though, Tyra's binging is probably just the latest of her antics on the road to becoming Oprah.
4. Am I My Brother's Keeper? Barack Obama for President? I don't see it. As much as it needs to happen, it ain't. First of all, a black dude named Barack has as about as much chance of getting into the White House through the front door as a gardener named Hector, or a Senator named Hilary for that matter. Soulman is down for the cause and all. Black power... Hi-five. Because Barak, just like Borat is popular amongst the masses... but dude, it ain't worth the bullet. Let that marinate.

As liberal minded as i am, i feel the same way. Once the campaign kicks off for reall this time next yr popularity wont save Barack. America isnt ready 4 a black prez, it wont happen.
You wanna know what grinds my gears, lack of privacy. Where does it say that a man, famous or infamous, can't hose down the sugar walls of a socialite in front of his mini-DV camera, from the privacy of his own bedroom, without it resurfacing at the Crenshaw Swap Meet?
Well... it says so in the Handbook of Things Not To Do if you are a celebrity in the era of YouTube (or XTube.com in this case), TMZ, or blogs like this one.
I think it's in Chapter 2.
Anyways.... Vivid Entertainment spent $1 Million on the sex tape of Kim Kardashian and Ray J.
From the press release found at kimksuperstar.com:
"We are comfortable that we have the legal right to distribute this video, despite what others may say," says Mr. Hirsch, Vivid's co-chairman.
"I've seen the video and it's really great. It has over 30-minutes of explicit sex that fans of erotica will find very appealing featuring two young and glamorous high profile celebrities. Apparently, the video was shot by Ray J about three years ago when he and Kim were in a relationship. The production is crystal clear and viewers will definitely get their money's worth. If either Kim or Ray J would like to discuss the video with us we would be happy to do so."

As previously reported by SOHH, Dupri recently stepped down from his position as president of urban music at Virgin, apparently after the lackluster sales of Janet Jackson's latest release 20 Y.O., which Dupri co-executive produced.
But while you were wondering why Ray J and Kim were so damn adamant about there not being a sex tape, when they clearly used up at least a dozen tapes over the course of this filming, we were making note of R. Kelly's antics to avoid his child pornography trial and compiling our
Kim Kardashian may count Paris Hilton as one of her closest friends, but that doesn't mean she wants to follow in her exact footsteps.
The socialite and daughter of late O.J. defense attorney Robert Kardashian will be filing a lawsuit to try to stop the DVD release of a three-year-old sex tape featuring her and actor-rapper Ray J, who she was dating at the time the video was made, E! News learned Thursday.
Vivid Entertainment shelled out $1 million to an undisclosed third party for the tape and is planning to add Kim Kardashian Superstar to the homemade adult entertainment canon in the near future, despite objections over the deal's legality.
"We are comfortable that we have the legal right to distribute this video, despite what others may say," Vivid cochairman Steven Hirsch said.
Those "others" are saying nay.
"Everyone is pretty disappointed and very confused as to what's going on and who's behind this," Kardashian, who says that she and Ray J have remained friends, told E! News. "We're just going to get to the bottom of this and do whatever we have to do to stop it."
She also said she's doesn't suspect her ex-boyfriend of turning the tape over to the porn peddlers.
"I've always said I don't think this would be something that he would do for some reason to spite me," Kardashian said.
The 26-year-old Ray J, born William Ray Norwood Jr., is the brother of Brandy and costarred on her UPN sitcom Moesha.
Kardashian, a stylist and fashion designer whose fame is also due in part to the high-profile crowd she hangs out with, is the stepdaughter of Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner and stepsister of The Hills' Brody Jenner. She was married briefly to music producer Damon Thomas and his since been linked to Nick Lachey, rapper the Game and, most recently, hip-hop artist Nick Cannon.
But although the pretty brunette appears more than happy to pose for the paparazzi while spending a night out on the town with Hilton 'n pals, she insists that she's not interested in giving the public a more explicit picture of her.
"Have there been tapes? Maybe, yes," she said Thursday on E!'s Daily Ten. "But are they for sale? No. Not for sale. That's our business."
"I don't feel like I really did anything wrong," Kardashian continued. "I was in a relationship, very much in love…It's humiliating; it's embarrassing. It's something I feel very betrayed by but I'm not pointing any fingers."
Pointedly denying rumors that she was actively involved in trying to sell one of her racy home movies, Kardashian, who co-owns the Calabasas boutique Dash with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, said in a written statement to the New York Daily News: "I'm not poor; I'm not desperate. I would never attempt to sell a tape. It would humiliate me and ruin my family. I have two successful businesses, and I don't need the money."
Kardashian will be showing off her body this year, but only in hip-hop producer Christopher Stokes' multimillion-dollar ad campaign for his new street-wear line, Christopher Brian Apparel—some of which features Kardashian, who will also design some pieces for Stokes, in topless-yet-tasteful (i.e. no bare breasts) situations.

Here's the behind the scenes footage of Cam's 50 diss video. Apparently Cam thinks that making an "official" video automatically makes his better. Right. And Mase has also hopped in on the "I Hate Dipset" trqain and made a diss record. I'll provide the linkage when I get better audio.
Word has it that Kim K. had Ray-J thrown out of a Grammy party she hosted. She hid out in a poolside cabana until security tossed his ass out of the party. Now she knows it was him who sold the tape since he pulled up tpo the party in a brand new $300,000 Lambourghini. And y'all know Ray-J aint makin' paper like that on the regular. She's pissy that he sold the tape without her approval. I guess Ray thought she would just thank him for the wonders he's about to do for her career.
