    Saturday. 2.10.07 8:27 am
I'm gonna get you high today, 'cause it's Friday; you ain't got no job... and you ain't got shit to do.

What's goin down? We got an update on the soon-to-be-released UGK album, UGK Underground Kingz. They have released a street sampler featuring 5 songs off of the album. If you ain't heard, when the actual CD drops on 4/3/2007 it is gonna be 2 disks with 25 songs...I'm excited...your excited...everybody is excited.

I'm gonna hit ya'll with the links to these 5 songs that are on the street sampler:

    1. UGK ft. Three 6 Mafia

    http://media.bmgonline.com/zombalabelgroup.com/ugk/audio/05_international_players_anthem_feat_64.asx

Bun B, Pimp C, DJ Paul, and Juicy J all on the same song? Whaaaaat. Cold.

    2. UGK- The Game Belongs to Me

    There's A Stranger In Sohh.com's House!!!
    Wednesday. 2.14.07 10:08 pm
    Where’s the fucking loyalty?

I hate to be unprofessional about this, but I have to let you all in on something. When I posted the Lil Scrappy entry on Friday 2/09/07
    http://blogs.sohh.com/atlanta/lil_scrappy/, I found everyone’s post very interesting.

Everybody had good points that were brought up, that got my mind running on an idea.
The idea, which was posted today on Sohh Atlanta and Sohh Houston’s blog was meant to have healthy dialect between Atlanta and Houston’s readers. However, it would appear that not everyone was on board with the idea. It seems that Sohh Houston felt that he was pressured, by whom is not clear, to post this idea on his blog.

Instead of posting the question in a positive way, he blasted the idea totally by saying

These are questions that SOHH Gyant wanted to have on both the Atlanta and Houston blogs for today. While I do think this is a good idea (business wise) I completely disagree with both of the questions and think that they are irrelevant and outdated. First of all, The H and ATL have completely different hip-hop styles. Anyone who can't see that has absolutely no right to speak on hip-hop at all. The question "which city is more responsible for the exposure of Southern hip-hop" makes absolutely no sense.

    He went to say:

The last thing I have to say: To me...it is subjects like this that make hip-hop a joke. Who gives a flying fuck who the "originators" of "Southern hip-hop" are? What the fuck does it even mean to "run the South"? Gimme a break man...this is hip-hop...it is music...it's an art. This isn't some whack ass shit where everyone needs to be hating on eachother, starting beef between cities, or claiming shit that they are/aren't responsible for.

While Sohh Houston has the right to voice his opinion, to do so in front of our readers was completely unprofessional and I want to apologize to all of our readers for his outlandish comments. In Hip-Hop, and the streetz there is an important trait that you must have above all else and its Loyalty. Even if he thought my idea was lame, baseless, and fundamentally unimportant. Those issues should be brought up to me or any other Sohh employee behind the scenes, not in front of our 6 million + readers.

SOHH Rezidue has drawn the line in the sand as far as Sohh Atlanta is concerned. Though I am finding it very difficult to not put him on blast, I will take the high road knowing that though everybody is on your team. Sometimes they are not always really on your team.

Houston or Atlanta??? Who Runs The South?
    Wednesday. 2.14.07 10:27 pm
Alright alright alright what's up ya'll. Today we are gonna get down a dirty with a serious topic that obviously has a lot of people speaking up. The South has been a huge part of hip-hop all over the place the last few years, and has definitely had a huge impact on the state of hip-hop as a whole. Alot of people talk about H Town and the ATL as the main cities of hip-hop in the South (and this is true), but which city is more responsible for the exposure of Southern hip-hop nation-wide? Which city really runs the South?

These are questions that SOHH Gyant wanted to have on both the Atlanta and Houston blogs for today. While I do think this is a good idea (business wise) I completely disagree with both of the questions and think that they are irrelevant and outdated. First of all, The H and ATL have completely different hip-hop styles. Anyone who can't see that has absolutely no right to speak on hip-hop at all. The question "which city is more responsible for the exposure of Southern hip-hop" makes absolutely no sense. While Southern hip-hop might have a certain flavor that distinguishes it from other regions...there is no "Southern hip-hop"...there is no "Northern hip-hop"...there is hip-hop and there are different styles of hip-hop with different trends, flavors, and tendencies. Houston is completely different from Atlanta hip-hop wise. I got love for some Atlanta artists (T.I., Ludacris, Young Jeezy), but none of those guys, to me, have any comparison to Houston hip-hop. ATL has it's own swagger...it's own style...Houston does it's thing and Atlanta does it's thing on it's own too. As far as who is responsible with the exposure of Southern hip-hop...I myself would have to say that overall Houston is more responsible. Whether you like it or not H Town, Scarface, Getto Boys, DJ DMD, DJ Screw, S.U.C, and many others are what alot of people think of as the originators of Southern hip-hop. That is all I have to say about that. You guys have every right to post your opinion and let me know what ya'll got to say....I really hope you guys gimme what you got on this blog.

Whatever happened to the strong, silent type? Doesn't anybody just do their thing, know they did it well, take their respect and shut the fuck up? Rappers all gotta be beefing, cities gotta be claiming they run hip-hop, people gotta be spitting racial shit at eachother (all over this website), and I'm in awe of how much we (hip-hop fans) support this type of idiotic bullshit. Man I love hip-hop...I got love for anyone who keeps hip-hop what it is meant to be. I will never claim that Houston runs the South. I could honestly give a rats ass what anyone thinks of Houston or our hip-hop. I give a shit about me and my city and that's it. SOHH Gyant...you go ahead and keep your high-traffic blog hits or whatever at SOHH Atlanta. I am sticking with the same shit I have always done...truth. I like ATL and a couple of my favorite rappers are from Atlanta...but you completely eliminate everything that the South is about (or supposed to be about) when you stage a question like "Which city actually runs the South?" or say things like "Atlanta, its time to let EVERYBODY know who runs the south!!"....... "However,
which city is responsible for the explosion remains a hot topic in the streetz, and on blogs throughout the south." What? Blogs throughout the south? Damn the internet is whack.
    Get real dawg...
