Hot 97 popped off yesterday during Angie Mar's show with 50 and Cam airing dirty laundry over the phone. Get that audio here Apparently Cam is pissy about people--mainly 50--talking shit about independent labels like Koch records and how Dipset isn't too wise with their distributing money. They use Koch as a distributor. Threats were thrown around and certain folks sounded like they were PMSing. Cam yelled at Curtis about him talking shit about Koch, but still letting his dude Prodigy go over there. Then Cam had to bring up Jimmy's sales v. Lloyd Bank's sales and said for Jimmy to be "independent"--he still sold Banks on The Unit. Interesting.
Then Styles P called in to further the spectacle talking about him being a free agent and 50 was trying to get him on his team some kind of way. Get the audio here But Styles wasn't trying to have it at all and called his ass out...especially about 50 supposedly pushing his album back and leaving the streets. But does Styles have crabs in the barrel syndrome? or is he just speaking truths? Get the full unchopped 60 minute show here.
And to continue with the "shit on 50" day...Jim Jones called in later on in the show. He pretty much brushed off 50 and said it's just not that serious between Dipset and 50, adding to that he "just trying to get money and it's just aggressive competition."
Nas has done it again. He did a "Where Are They Now 80's remix" and a West Coast remix. Get the audio here. I wonder if the south is next....

So here's the video of the Cam'Ron v. 50 fiasco from the other day. Somebody taped Cam and the dude from Koch actually calling in to Hot 97. For some reason, this is exactly how I pictured it.
Speaking of 50, the rumor mill is spinning with word that he is kickin it on the low with Ciara. They were spotted around La Frak City in 50's car while Ciara tried to hide out in the back seat. Supposedly they got it poppin right after they worked on a track for CiCi's latest The Evolution album.
Check out DJ Jazzy Jeff's new track with CL Smooth called "All I Know". Jeff is also dropping an album this month.
Timbaland has a new track ft. Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake called "Give It 2 Me".
Nas has some In-studio videos over at AOL for some of his tracks of HHID.
What did y'all think about Hov's Superbowl commercial with Coach Shula last night? Word has it the commercial was the top ranked ad all night.

It's official--The 50 v. Cam'Ron beef has just been stepped up by 50. It looks like this video was thrown together in about an hour--but y'all get the point. He likes Jimmy better anyway. Let the saga continue....
Gillie Da Kid was arrested last night during a ring drug bust in Phily. The cops have identified Gillie as the ring leader of the drug operation. And now a statement from Gillie's and Major Figga's(who was also arrested) camp has been issued:
I am confirming the fact that Gillie was indeed taken into custody and arrested by the Philadelphia Police Department on Tuesday, February 6, 2007. However, the charges are unwarranted and once Gillie has his day in court, we are confident that the evidence against him will prove to be false. The Philadelphia Police Department is clearly using Gillie’s status as a hip hop artist and entertainer to draw media attention to him. This was clearly a case of him being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Gillie is in no way guilty of the charges brought against him and once all facts come to light, he will be fully exhonerated. Gillie is in high spirits and wants to thank the whole hip hop community for their support and well wishes during this time. Gillie recently signed a Mixtape Album Deal with Babygrande Records to release a “Best of Gillie Da Kid Mixtapes” which will be dropping in stores March 13 featuring Gillie along with the whole Major Figgas Crew.
Gotta love the constant promo.

Hov has done a video for his Minority Report track for MTV. But it's not the offcial video, it's more of a commercial for Black Histor Month. Check it out here. http://www.eargoo.com/mtv/bhm208.mov

Cam and Mase Keep The Beef Cookin', Ray-J Gets Tossed Out Of Grammy Party
Wednesday. 2.14.07 9:42 pm
Here's the behind the scenes footage of Cam's 50 diss video. Apparently Cam thinks that making an "official" video automatically makes his better. Right. And Mase has also hopped in on the "I Hate Dipset" trqain and made a diss record. I'll provide the linkage when I get better audio.
Word has it that Kim K. had Ray-J thrown out of a Grammy party she hosted. She hid out in a poolside cabana until security tossed his ass out of the party. Now she knows it was him who sold the tape since he pulled up tpo the party in a brand new $300,000 Lambourghini. And y'all know Ray-J aint makin' paper like that on the regular. She's pissy that he sold the tape without her approval. I guess Ray thought she would just thank him for the wonders he's about to do for her career.

Daily Hip-Hop News:Update: Cam'ron Explains Why He Calls 50 "Cuurtis," "The Real 50 Cent Never Snitched"

Cam'Ron
In a recent interview conducted while he shot his 50 Cent diss video "Cuurtis," Cam'ron revealed why he refers to the G-Unit honcho by his government name among other things.
"His name is Curtis. His legal name is Curtis Jackson," explained Killa Cam. "The real 50 Cent never snitched on anybody, never was happy when his accomplice got life in prison, he was a thorough dude and died thorough. That's why I call him 'Cuurtis.'
Cam'ron also mocked 50 for asking fans for help on an anti-Cam myspace page he alleges the G-Unit boss set up.
"He has a MySpace page tryin' to get people to write their best Cam'ron disses. Why do you need public assistance?" questioned Cam. "You know what, help him out all you want, y'all heard him, 'he ain't chubby like Ricky Ross.' What are you talking about?" [Watch the interview here]
As SOHH previously reported, the bad blood between both artists began when they got into an argument on Angie Martinez's Hot 97 radio show two weeks ago.
50 would throw the first blow releasing the "Funeral Music" video on Friday (February 9). The clip featured a hearse with the words "Cam'ron's Career" written on it and mocked the rapper's shooting in Washington D.C. last year.
Cam responded the following day with his song "Cuurtis," which took shots at 50's appearance and stressed that the G-Unit boss is a snitch, while the video hit the internet yesterday (February 15). The clip featured Cam'ron emerging from a coffin at his funeral and hitting the streets to air out 50 Cent. In different scenes of the video, various people on the streets including a police officer, echo the song's chorus, "Cuurtis."
