So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Whoopsy!" Root-canal guy: "Ah, there, you're feeling some pressure." ("pressure" is dentist speak for PAIN, just like "a little pinch" is dentist-speak for incredibly sharp and sudden PAIN). Root-canal guy: "Oops, I just dropped a sharp instrument on your forehead! I would make a terrible juggler!" I decided to pretend that I was a POW being interrogated by terrorists about the position of my unit. It was my duty to protect my unit, and in my own self interest to hide my pain so that the terrorists would decide that dentistry wasn't a good way to interrogate me. It sort of worked... at least I didn't cry until I made it to my car. Clearly this is still something for me to work on. Perhaps a couple of years in the French Foreign Legion is just what I need. 4 Comments. Or Texas. How do you think Chuck Norris became Chuck Norris? He was nothing until he became a Texas Ranger. » Dilated on 2008-12-12 01:00:22 Augh! How awful. My favorite dentist mishap is when they were putting the filling adhesive in, and somehow were too forceful with it, so it exploded EVERYWHERE. My mouth, their face-shields, my glasses, everywhere. It tasted horrid. » ikimashokie on 2008-12-12 04:12:01 Yeah Nuttz is right, & I thank him for that. That's exactly what my whole plan was. After the break-up & after I've given up on waiting, I just let it go & smile each & everyday until I have nothing to dwell upon any more. & yes, I would NOT give up a chance to go to prom with a random person. That's a pretty lame move for me to make anyway. I'm too cool for that, shoot! Hahahahaha! Thanks Zanzi (: » ShaShaBoo on 2008-12-12 06:29:18 R:C - That would be very excellent! I'm sorry about your root canal by the way... rooot canal, now that's something no one looks forward to. » jinyu on 2008-12-13 01:40:42
