Why on earth is blogging so hard. Can someone answer me this question?? You'd think it would be the easiest thing to get on the computer and type out something about YOURSELF...I mean does anyone NOT enjoy discussing their own life with internet strangers every now and then?? I don't get it. But anyway, after much ado, Muffy is back!

I've been in Galveston Island, TX and Washington DC for the past two weeks(ish)...an amazing experience. Being in that kind of environment surrounded by those people constantly reminds me why I love jumping rope. And of course I got to see my special someone :) .

The World Jump Rope championships in Washington DC was one of the coolest tournaments I've been to in a while. Everything about it was awesome. The location really, really grew on me. DC is quite a cool place! We stayed like a 15 min walk away from the White House. The tournament itself was freaking AMAZING...so much cool, new stuff, and the best part is that people from all over the world got to see it. I never got to posting it, but there was a live stream of the event....25,000 hits from 25 countries. So cool.

There were 5 kids from Tanzania and Kenya who came to the tournament, most of them homeless....my coach and another jumper, Mike Fry, were responsible for bringing them over. Having them there, and having other countries there, totally changed the atmosphere. It felt like something NEW.

Ahhh anyway...I did pretty well :) I will post videos. I got 3rd place at Grand Nationals for my single rope freestyle, and we won Grand Worlds for double dutch pairs freestyle. I'm sooo happy with my team! I love the feeling of hitting a routine, absolutely love it.

Here's a vid of one of our routines....stupid misses, but the crowd loved it. It's a new event called double dutch triad freestyle, where there are 3 jumpers and 2 turners.

Watch the video here!

Anyway...I'm going to go running tomorrow and then the day after...I get to pick him up from the airport :) The next 3 weeks are going to be so, so great.

And yes, I'm on Google+! If I haven't already found you, add me...and the Hangout feature sounds great for us 'Tangers with cameras! I look forward to awkward video chats with all of you.

Muffy over and out!

Do not try to bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STOP LEAVING US?!?! SHOULD I CRY.

-Sobs- STOP LEAVING US MUFFYYYYYYY. You're like the cheeriest person here, no matter how unhappy or depressed everyone else is. X|

Anyway I'm sure we'll all add you on Google+. :P I don't have my real name on there though so I get the feeling nobody will add me.

Muffy is back to make me envious with every post. Not that I mind, it's a good distraction =)

Congrats on the 3rd!! I can't wait for the video to finish loading on my stupid freaking slow broadband.

I look forward to the 'Tangers awkward video chats too. Haha!

Gah! I'm right there with you on feeling that it's really hard to keep updating. Although your life is much more involved than mine. I simply have a full time job and a 4 hour, once a week volunteer shift. School starts in September so I'm excited about that.

Congrats on all your wins! Hopefully it won't be forever until your next post =P

Awkward is the correct word for any proposed G+ hangouts, I think.
Also, DC sounds amazing! I've always heard good things about the city, being swell to visit and whatnot.

Re:
I don't think Stevo reads my posts regularly.. After all most of the time, it is mundane and predictable.

I do over-analyse every now and then. Sometimes it helps you puts things in perspective =)
