Hello, plus random stuff
Sunday. 6.10.07 5:52 pm
Well. Certainly has been a while.

Why am I blogging? Because I'm at a friend's house, using their computer, because my own computer back at home has been designated a no-fly zone. Why? Because I was a bad kid again, and stayed on it too long, which eventually ended with my dad throwing another bitch fit, me pretending to listen, and him cutting up my Warcraft CD with scissors. Really, he should be more intelligent because I bought another one a reallllly long time ago because I needed the extra CD key. So none of this is cause to worry.

Anyways, my friend is being a noob and doing homework when we're supposed to be on breaktime. Silly achievers. Anyway, not much has happened around...my school had an undercover drug bust, and now it's all the rave in the media. For all the wrong reasons. Eric Devericks of the Seattle Times was nice enough to post this cartoon for everyone to see:

I responded in kind:
"In the June 3rd edition of the Times, a certain Mr. Devericks was generous enough to depict for the 438,516 subscribers of this newspaper another gross misinterpretation of the Federal Way School District. Ten teens of the 5,000 populating the district’s high schools were arrested, and overnight the area mutated into some black spot on the map, as though these problems weren’t prevalent in other schools, or are people choosing to ignore that? Adding the police to any story seems to suddenly make it newsworthy. Had this undercover bust never gone to the media, Federal Way schools would not be staring down the barrel of public mockery. I didn’t realize that my district’s push to improve was something to be criticized."

Of course the Times didn't actually post my little bit. But oh well, at least they read it. Other then that, excitement seems to have died off in life. Nationals is in 2 weeks, I'm a little scared (I have to put a front flip in my routine according to coach, who seems to enjoy adding stuff into people's routines when there's virtually no time to practice it). Oh dinner is ready. Mmm...spaghetti. I think that's how you spell it.

I'll comment later when I get to use the computer again. Which might be a while -_-. Yeah I know I'm a terrible person. Until then...

Do not try to bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

Yeah, gotta love that... I doubt they actually read it, I wouldn't put it past anyone to actually read anything unless you had it sent certified mail to the head of whatever it was.

I can't believe you did that, especially when you knew it would take you away from us. Don't we mean ANYTHING to you?! Love the response, by-the-way. They totally should've printed it. ;D Good luck on your flip! I know you'll be absolutely am-wazing in the NATIONALS. ('-^)=b

» crz4manga on 2007-06-10 10:25:53

Yeah they should have printed it. Too bad.

Good luck in Nationals!

what kind of 'mature' punishment is cutting up your CDs? Good luck on the Nationals and the flip
» LostSoul13 on 2007-06-11 12:11:57

CUT the CD?...
heck, I'd just [try] bending it. That'd be more fun... lol

It's crazy how everyone critisizes things. It's like nobody's happy with ANYTHING - always makin' fun at some fault somewhere. But what can you do about it? There is no perfect anything. There's always going to be something wrong with something.
And sayin' something like "Oh no! There's drugs at this school. This must mean the district is bad!!" Uh, hello? If you've ever had drugs, where do you think you first tried 'em? If it was before you were an upperclassman in high school, it was probably at school. How else are they gonna get it to the kids?
I swear, drugs are everywhere. Especially since it's illegal. That just makes everyone want to break the rules all that much more.
But that's another matter.

blahblah, politics!! >=O

You take REALLY long breaks.... intentional or not. :S

No offense, but I think it'd be kinda cool if someone got arrested around here and gave the school a bad rep.... All we ever had was a guy who stabbed someone in the hand with a pencil, and that was in middle school.... You're right though, it isn't fair to label the whole district because of a few individuals.

Muffin! *hugs* I missed you ! ^.^

That sucks. Isn't the media woderful? *sarcasm*

(to your comment) LOL! It's ok! That's your opinion. I think it's funny when you talk about Disney like that. XD It's like when my husband makes fun of musicals. It's hilarious!

I use Photoshop Elements 2.0...something.
My best friend bought it for her Windows computer, and since the disc had a version for both Windows and Mac, she let me download the Mac version for my computer.

So, basically, I got it for free.
Though I kind of want to buy the latest one. Or at least an update, or something...

I'm a Fed Way Alumna
... and while I know better, I take advantage of such press to prove to my classmates that I am, in fact, ghetto fab.

anime
I was going to ask my friend if I could borrow her copy of Evangelion (or however you spell it) but she graduated high school and joined the marines. I guess I'll watch a couple of clips on youtube or something.

Anime is weird. They should have more of it on tv without you having to get io or something
