So during my really short trip overseas, I was able to witness how my friend handled her younger sibling's inconsideration of her needs and.. I have got to give it to her because if it was me, I would not have handled it as well as she did. She was all calm and rational while if it was me, my brothers would have gotten a loud earful there and then, regardless of whom they are with or where we are. It is good that I got to witness that because it helps me grow as a human being since people around me think that I am always matured enough to think on my own when sometimes I feel like I really lack guidance on how to go around this really messed up world. It is just not fun that people think that you are able to just do things. 5 Comments. I've mostly been watching Law and Order these past few days. Before now I hadn't watched it since my roommate in college used to turn on the TV to it and then go to sleep without giving me any way to turn off the TV, and that was back in 2009-2010. My parents kind of assume they don't need to teach me a lot of things because I'm smart enough to figure them out on my own. I agree with you, it's not fun. Too much pressure by far. » randomjunk on 2013-07-27 08:25:54 It is good to have a good role model, otherwise how can we ever learn? » Zanzibar on 2013-07-27 08:46:08 i'm glad that i live in a family where my siblings are considerate of everything. i guess i'm lucky. » thaitanic on 2013-07-31 06:33:40 How did she handle it? I'm always stuck, because on the one hand, you don't want to be a doormat and on the other you want to be open and forgiving. It's sort of hard to figure out if there is a balance in all that. RC: For a long time, I felt that being married (or I guess I mean, 'matched' in any form) wasn't important to me... maybe it won't be again. It's kind of that balance thing again. Wanting something makes you act, but wanting also makes you miserable. » jinyu on 2013-08-20 04:38:41 Expectations, man. They can be hard to live with. But I like how you've taken what you saw in your friend as a way to encourage yourself. re:comment My library job pretty much just covers my expenses, if I don't go too crazy, and I have no savings. Another reason to be looking elsewhere... » invisible on 2013-09-02 02:25:17
