I've always heard remarks about me being "very serious", "scary" and "snobbish" from people I consider the general public. My friends would not think of me that way; people who bother to get to know me better will be able to see that difference. So, today.. if you have my Facebook, you'll see that quite open discussion between me and my two oldest friends and somewhere in that discussion, you'll see me making a couple suggestive statements. And because I was laughing a lot, my boss asked me what was I laughing about and after explanations, she said "If I don't know the guy that you like, I would really think that you're a lesbian". Hence this blog. I think I show different people a similar yet different sides of me and the longer we're friends, the fuzzier the lines are between friendship and flirtationship. I love to be cheeky and mischievous but not around everyone and not everyone can swallow that pill. I really don't do things if I think the other party cannot accept. So I guess I do sort of give people the wrong impression; not that I'm complaining. I think it is kind of fun to give people the wrong impression sometimes and then just drop the bomb on them (although it is a double edged sword). I sometimes also find it hard to convince someone against their own assumption. I try it once or twice then I give up because it's either they find it fun to hold on to that assumption and use it on me from time to time or they're just too stubborn to see the truth. So yea... That's about all. P/s: I use a lot of "so" and "also" and it's a bit all over the place because I don't know how to properly construct this. I don't want to explain too much yet I don't want to say too little. 4 Comments. As far as I'm aware it's pretty common for female friends to joke that way. I knew a lot of girls in high school who would joke-flirt with each other or jokingly pretend they were together and get "offended" by certain things. » randomjunk on 2012-06-22 09:03:05 Haha I love this! I love messing with people's ideas of who you are and / or what you should be. Being gay but not acting so gay gives me a lot of freedom to "fuck with the system" and mix up my social roles and whatnot :) More power to ya! Also, when you mess with them that much you can either intrigue them or flat-out scare them away...so yes, it is a double-edge sword. But personally I think it makes life more interesting » The-Muffin-Man on 2012-06-23 08:55:40 haha that's funny, I like doing similar things too. Some of my friends think I'm a lesbo. Yeah parents really don't understand sometimes. Especially ones who have children with special needs or disorders, etc. It's really sad and depressing how they can be so selfish and ignorant. » dont-see on 2012-06-28 05:29:23 U r perfectly normal. Dont worry. Everyone is different when they r with different people. » renaye on 2012-06-28 10:31:13
