welcome to my mind ...

This morning it finally felt like Summer time in Seattle. There was a nice breeze last night that actually cooled off my room quite a bit. I had to turn my fan off for about an hour because it was a little too chilly. I left the windows wide open when I left for work and the breeze and cool air helped cool it off even more. It still didn't get below 70, but it was at least far enough under 80 that it felt comfortable.

My room temp is back up to 81 right now, which is the same temp as outside, but it's not completely unbearable. I only have the fan setting on low and it'll stay that way for the rest of the night. Supposedly there will be a nice breeze from the ocean tonight to cool Seattle off even more so fingers crossed. I'd much rather wake up cold than not be able to sleep because it's too hot. I'll also be waiting until the sun goes down to take a shower in hopes that there will be enough cool air coming in that my place won't heat up too much from the hot water.

One of my coworkers called off from work today. I knew he was going to and I was almost 100% sure I knew who would be covering for him, but I still didn't like it. The guy isn't a bad guy, he just has a snooty attitude. The way he carries himself makes me dislike him. Tuesday is usually the day I don't care much for due to the patrol rotation, but I guess today wasn't too bad. I didn't get a single call the entire second half of the shift, which almost never happens. Tomorrow will probably be busy to make up for that fact.

Two, possibly three, more days of work. I signed up to work some overtime on Friday morning, but I haven't heard back yet on whether I will be or not. It's a give or take at this point. I'll be going out Thursday evening so I kind of want to be able to stay out longer, but at the same time, I could really use the extra cash. We'll see what happens.
