Today is Earth Day, as most of you know. The movie Earth came out today. It was basically clips from the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth, narrated by James Earl Jones {as some of you know, he's the voice of Darth Vader} <~~ geek moment, I admit.

I really enjoyed the series so I had to go see the movie. It was just as I remembered seeing on TV, but it's something that's always fascinated me. My boyfriend went with me, but had to leave before it ended so he wouldn't be late to work.

Due to it being Earth Day, we got to wear green to work today, instead of wearing our uniforms. We also got free cupcakes that had green icing on them. They weren't the best, but they were free. Tomorrow starts up the free ice cream Thursdays. It stopped probably about 6 months ago due to the plummetting economy, but now that business has slowly started picking up, we get free ice cream again.

Anywho, I'm going to Tucson this weekend. I'm leaving out of Vegas late Friday and hoping to arrive in Tucson around 8 or 9ish in the morning. I'll only be staying there one night because in order to be back in time for work Monday, I'll need to leave Tucson mid-Sunday.

I'm excited about it. A little nervous about taking the long-ish trip by myself, but it's something I've wanted to do since before I even got my car. If all goes well, it's something I want to do every so often. Just to escape the city for a while.

My mom. There's been so much going on with my mom lately, it's hard for me to keep up. As of right now, she is back in Vegas. I'll probably go visit her in about a week.

Gah! I feel like I have so much to do, but nothing is really coming to mind as to what exactly I'm feeling busy for. Maybe it's because there's a whole bunch of things happening all at once, it just feels busier than I actually am.
