I'm ending the challenge. I'm just not in the right place of mind to keep writing every day. I'm going on hiatus for a bit. At least until I'm okay again. It could be a while.

Well now that I am back I hope that you'll be writing! I just wanted to state that posing a challenge like that to write can be harmful to the goal of actually trying to write. If you really force yourself to write when your mind/heart isn't in it at the moment...then the result would be lacking the heart that it needs.

I've faced this MANY times in writing my first two novels. As badly as I want to finish each novel which can be done only by actually writing them, there are just some days where I purposefully refrain from it because if I am not into it enough then I know that whatever I write will be lacking and I would end up having to re-do everything and essentially just make more work for me the next time that I really FEEL like writing.

We all understand the need for hiatuses here and there...just hope it won't be too, too long and that we'll see you 'round here.
