First day on Nutang.
Huzzah!

Things I have accomplished today:
Set up Nutang Account
Fiddle around with backgrounds and HTML codes for Nutang.
Eaten a small pizza.

I don't suppose that counts for alot....
I think I'll don my gardening gloves and go trim the trees up a little bit before my boyfriend gets home. That way it looks like I did something other than NuTang all day. lol.

Ok, so purpose of this blog:
KNITTING!

My boyfriend absolutely sick of hearing about it, and as a result...so are all my friends. Thusly, I have decided to talk knitting to myself and the internet because the internet won't shun me.

Goals:
9 knits in 9 months.

I'm new to the knitting game, but so far, I LOVE it. alot.
I plan to get good at it too. Only one way to do that...practice.
So, the way I see it is this: if I force myself to knit a project every month it'll encourage me to learn new methods and to actually accomplish something other than looooong scarf like looking objects where I practice my stiches.

First up on the list is a baby blanket.
My friends "The Story's" are having their second bundle of joy in November. I'd like to have the blanket done at least before the baby arrives, but soon enough so that once they choose the baby's name, I can embroider it onto the blanket.
It's going to be an orange basketweave blanket with the name in a bright navy blue (the mom's favorite colors).

Now that I have made my decision on which pattern and colors the next step is finding the materials and beginning. I'll keep you (whoever 'you' are....) posted with pictures and works progress features.

Snazzy, huh?

Welcome to Nutang!

I have no idea what a basketweave blanket is. Therefore, I highly encourage you to post pictures when you finish it. :D

Welcome to Nutang! It's exciting when we get newcomers, especially if there's a chance they'll stick around for a while. And from the way you're talking, you'll be here as long as you keep knitting lol. I, like randomjunk, have no idea what a basketweave blanket is, but I look forward to seeing the finished product.
