Psychos, houses and mother-in-laws who can be considered psycho.
(This was written yesterday, forgot to upload it.) I think everyone should have a favorite psycho. If you’ve read or watched enough you’re bound to come across at least one you really like. As I was watching Mars I was so excited by Fan Tong Dao since who ever acted as him did an amazingly good job. Fan Tong Dao has to be one of my favorite psychotic characters I’ve ever read from a book or manga. I’m not sure why since he’s not an especially deep sort of character. He doesn’t have a huge back story to go along with him or anything, he’s just wonderfully crazy. He’s manipulative. He’s willing to kill to get what he wants. He believes he’s right and refuses to accept anything different and once again willing to make himself right. There’s one part on Mars where he’s manipulating his new shrink by crying. It was perfectly acted out and all I could do was laugh. So do you have a favorite psycho?
The close it comes time to move the more excited I am to move. This will be the first time really living on my own and since it’s something new it’s a novelty still. I’m sure the “fun and new” factor will wear off very quickly. My boyfriend has moved before and he’s not even slightly excited about the prospect of being able to buy a house or condo. In fact his response when I said because of his new job there shouldn’t be much of a reason for us not to buy a house was, “As long as I get my computer upgrade.” Yeah that’s right...computer upgrade. I guess when you’re used to apartments you don’t care if you live in a house. His mom is planning on buying real estate where want to move and offered to rent us the house. Suuuuure and while we’re at it lemme use a rusty saw to take off my right arm slowly, it would feel about the same. <_< Needless to say I’m not a big fan of his mom. She never cared about him until he moved and since then he’s her favorite. /rolls eyes That and knowing we’d have to let her drop by...BLARG! At least right now we can use work and such as an excuse, we owe her nothing. If we were renting from her at the same price as we are from my mom the tide would turn and not in our favor.
His mom also suggested we find a roommate. Yeah, me living with someone I hardly know in an apartment I’d rather not be living in so things would be cheaper. When he asked me what I thought while she was on the phone I couldn’t help, but start to laugh so hard I fell off my computer chair. Hell will freeze over before I live with someone I hardly know. Just like hell will freeze over before I move into a less then acceptable apartment or house. My boyfriend calls me a princess, and that’s partly true since I am one. Blame my mommy, I know I do. XD It’s not all her fault though. Whenever we visited and had to stay at his mom’s apartment I hated it. The walls were too thin and I disliked people walking above me. It’s annoying and I have no idea how people can deal with that. <_< All I know is that starting Feb. I will need to start filling out prequalification loan forms to see how large of a loan we can get. Then I need to start shopping to see if anything I like in that price range. At most I hope to not live in an apartment more then 6 months, we’ll see though. It really just depends on what’s for sale, how good my credit is by then, etc. /crosses fingers.
Song quote: Not sure why I picked Rise, I like the song mainly because it sounds so great in Russian and it fits perfectly with Ghost in the Shell: SAC. I like this part of the song the best though. Yoko Kanno is a genius!!
Edit: For those unsure of why my mom’s to blame for my “princess” behavior this morning was a perfect example. I had an appointment with the DMV at 9 so when I didn’t leave to work at a normal time, we live in a duplex with her next to us, she got worried and came down to see if I needed to be taken care of. I told her I just had an appointment and then she offered to make me lunch to take to work since there was time. I said sure, I mean who passes on free food?! O_o She said she’d make some turkey salad and I gave her a red onion to put in it and away she went to go make me some lunch. Now I’m thinking she’d just put some in a container and that would be my lunch. She comes down with a paper lunch bag filled. I look inside and behold I find a turkey salad sandwich, a small bag of chips and some yummy cookies. As I’m saying thanks you can just see this light bulb pop up in her mind as she says, “Oh I forgot to bring a soda, what kind do you want?” That’s right because making me lunch isn’t good enough without a soda... It took me about 5 minutes to reassure her I have sodas at work and not to worry as she then starts to wonder if she gave me enough and if maybe I should get an afternoon snack too. Thus I am the princess I am today.
Edit2: How depressing, I just read on a site that you shouldn’t buy anything big if you plan on buying a house soon. This means I have to wait for a new car until after we buy a house! :( Their example was that someone who makes 5K a month (yeah suuuure I do...) and has a 400 dollar car payment can lose out on like 55K for a loan! 55 grand!! While the Mazda doesn’t have the lowest payment and won’t be paid off the quickest it does have the much lower loan amount. (Thank God for a broken “cuddle” system and having a car for a week before it was realized.) Maybe if I get enough money to make it worth while I’ll pay that car off. I want to dump it anyways so why not if it helps me get a nicer house?
I also found out from a co-worker since the house I buy is a stepping stone I need to think what’s good to resell and not what I need since I won’t be there forever. It’s wiser to spend a little more for a 3 bedroom house that will be easier to resell when the time comes then finding a 2 bedroom house and having a harder time down the road. She used to work for real estate people so I learn a lot talking to her. What loans I can get, to remember about the other things like home owners insurance when I’m told the loan price since it isn’t included, etc. I love my mom, but she’s of no use when it comes to this. She hasn’t bought a house in 23 years and the prices of what her payment will be for a new one are shocking to her since the last time she bought a house the average was 80-100 grand!
Good luck with your home buying. I hope you find something huge!!!
