I refuse to forever be
123th day of 2008
a half cracked child actor.
That random little kid you see in commercials that run for four years.
That girl filling in space in movies.
That could-be child star that can only get leads in indies that don't make it.
That half pint on a greeting card.
Or one of the numerous children who appear in Macy's ads every couple of weeks for a while and then don't do an ad for another eight years.

I'm sick of that taunting voice in my head, laughing as it reminds me that I made more money in an hour as a twelve year than I do in eight hours as a fifteen year old.

So from here on out I'm not letting anything slow me down. I've still got game and I'm not waiting for anyone. A teams only as strong as its weakest player. That's not me. I'll drop the rest of the team and push ahead myself. I've got fight. I've got bite. I'm not waiting for my agent to call me anymore. I'm gonna look for auditions myself. I'll use whatever resources I can. I won't not bother memorizing scripts because myspace is more important. And I'm certainly not going to mope around when I finally get a job *coughSonycommercialandTostitoswebpromocough* and then the shoot is canceled; I'm just gonna get back in the game with more fight. I've already had to make too many sacrifices for acting. I'm not giving up now. I will not let my highest income be from before I was out of middle school.

Till the fight backs,
Jen

Heh, well, they have ads with teenagers in them too. Usually they're advertising something lame though. :P

Maybe switch agents?

Are you in that ad?

bluetopaz: I've been with my agent since I was like six. I had a different one before that. I mean, I like my agency. Everyone's pretty cool. I just don't think I get called enough.

KKama67: yeah. I'm the girl on the right. I remember the photographer telling me to imagine the boy was Leo DiCaprio (who was my childhood crush)
