Is it good to be glad in the goodness of others?

There isnt a single thing about me that is good, but I am glad that you are.
I take everything for granted but I am glad that you dont.
I have lost my need to pray but I thank God you havent.
I take refuge in the material momentary illusion of joy, yet rejoice in the wealth of baseless joy I see in you.
I have no time for sunsets, but smile at how important they to you.
I am selfish in all I do, but I would put everything aside if you needed me to.
I will never be a perfect husband or father or brother or friend, but you make me want to try.
Hmm... Allow me to disagree. If there was nothing good about you, then you would be ignorant to that fact. And by realizing and accepting it, you become humble and thereby, a good trait you have.
Also, thanking God is a form of prayer.
And lastly, if you you were selfish in ALL you do, you wouldn't "rejoice in the wealth of baseless joy" you see in anyone else.
But ultimately, I'm glad that someone inspires you to become a better being. That alone makes you a better person.
