wedding dress
Thursday. 5.2.13 6:59 pm
I bought this dress.

You can wear it about 15 different ways, but I'll probably wear it the traditional way. MAYBE change it up for the reception.

I also booked the caterer and bought the cake. So things are movin' right along.

Sorry I've been gone so long, work and weddingy stuff have been stressing me out/taking up all my time.

Weddings are EXPENSIVE, whyyyy.

It was so cute when I bought my cake you guys, the woman at the bakery said, "Now, we'll need at least a $10 deposit," and I said, "Can I just pay in full right now?" and she said, "Yes. Go team!"

Yeah, go team!

I'm trying to pay cash for everything as possible and not put anything on a credit card. I'd like this thing to be done and paid for when it's all over. I have very minimal debt right now and I'd like to keep it that way. I'm actually hoping to have my debt paid off by the end of this year. Did you guys know you're supposed to order your wedding dress like six months before your wedding? No one told me and I had to put a rush on my dress! And my wedding isn't until August 17th! GOD WEDDINGS UGH. Should have eloped probably.

Totally off topic but, IS ANYONE ELSE AS EXCITED AS I AM ABOUT THE NEW DAFT PUNK ALBUM?!?

If you are unfamiliar with Daft Punk, you should immediately watch Interstella 55555. DO IT NOW.

Wow, I didn't know there were convertible wedding dresses. That's really cool. :D I like the idea of convertible dresses, even though in practice I've proven to be terrible at using them.

Why are you supposed to buy the dress six months before the wedding? I've never heard that either. o_O

Say Yes To The Dress taught me the six month thing. Still, go you on finding something you like. It's going to look awesome.

Also, Daft Punk's album is AMAZING

Woot! for paying things off as you go! I also had no idea there were convertible wedding dresses ... I will have to keep that in mind for if/when I get around to needing one. It's a very pretty selection. What kind of cake did you end up going with?

The dress looks cool!

Wow, beautiful dress! I was surprised to know they made convertible wedding dresses! That's really cool. Congratulations Amelie!

Fancy! I still have to buy my dress. I don't even want to go shopping for it. I do have a year and some change, at least. Plenty of time for me to undo all of this cake and meat I've been eating.

I'm not into this trend of strapless dresses, which is causing me consternation. :(

re: If it isn't a feminist issue, you could always hyphenate your last name! That's a good way to enjoy both last names. As far as deciding whether or not to let your parents give you away...that is a hard decision. How does your dad feel about it?
