so I had my annual review at work the other day.

see, last year, I wasn't happy with my review, so over the last twelve months I worked harder than before so I would get a better review.

...and I did get a better review. much better.

yet, when I received a pay increase, the amount was less than the year before.

not sure how that works. I worked harder and got less of a reward for it.

hmm.

dunno.

sucks.

Maybe the company is tightening their belts. All jobs here have lowered their salaries for new staff even for managerial level
