1st Quarter Ends
Friday, November 2, 2007
The first quarter has ended for this school year.

First period was spent taking a history. It was super easy and there was like 2 or 3 questions that I didn't remember. Second period was math. We have packets for the next few days on parabolas and quadriatic equations. It's somewhat easy but there are at least 5 parts to each problem and they get you thinking more as opposed to just working from the textbook. We were assigned one problem per two people and we have to do a presentation on it.

Third period was somewhat boring. Don't really remember too much. Fourth period was fun, I guess. Our teacher made croque-monsieurs for us and they were really good. Croque-monsieurs are ham and cheese sandwiches that are grilled (I think). She chose to use croissants for the bread because she saids that they taste the best. So I'm going to make them for my parents and brother on Sunday.

Fifth period was just working in the Attendance office. We had a sub for sixth period. We had to work on a writing assignment on our outside reading books. I was reading The Age of Innocence, and seriously, don't read it. It's so boring and I'm the kind of persion who really loves reading. We've had it since like the second or third week of school and I didn't finish it until last night. I actually didn't really finish it. Once I got to the end of chapter 29 (it's 35 chapters, I think), I started skimming. And then I skipped the last few pages of the book because a friend of mine was reading the same book and told me the ending. She actually didn't really read the book either. She read the last chapter and then used SparkNotes. Our other friend hadn't even read the first page. I chose the book this time but they get to pick for the next 3 quarters.

Tomorrow after pilates, we're going to have to go to Costco and spend like 3 hours there. My mom needs to get her car tires changed but Wal-Mart didn't have the ones that she needed in stock. And after that, we might be going to JCPenny because of its sale. At 4pm is my brother's last soccer lesson for the session/term thing. After that, we're most likely going to go to Fremont and go to Wal-Mart. I can't remember what we needed to buy from there, or maybe we needed to return something.

I am now watching Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight, and Numbers on Friday nights. I used to watch Ghost Whisperer and Numbers like 1 1/2 years ago. I am so excited to be watching those two shows again. Moonlight is awesome as well. It's like Angel/Buffy mixed with some other awesome show.

Happy Halloween!
Wednesday, October 31, 2007
Happy Halloween, everyone! Did everyone go trick-or-treating? I went with my mom and my little brother to the mall. It's mainly for little kids but I just went along and didn't get any candy. I didn't dress up either, though.

Hmm... Dunno what there is to say about this past 8 days. My brother's birthday party was on Sunday. It wasn't too bad, I guess. JJ came and I haven't seen him for a long time. He hasn't seen our new house either, even though we've lived here since last August. He got to meet Marshmellow and Mocha, but he likes Mocha more than Marshmellow. Probbably because he's calmer than Marshmellow. He also made me make a Facebook so now I have a Facebook. But I need to take a good picture about myself to put up.

After the party of Sunday, I made cupcakes for my brother to bring to school on his birthday as well as mini-cupcakes for Ruth Anne and Lisa for their early/late birthdays. But then the mini-cupcakes came out a bit undercooked. I had made the temperature lower because they didn't have any directions for mini-cupcakes so I didn't know what to use. I didn't end up bringing them to school because they looked bad.

I was (and still am) very disappointed at myself because I didn't go ice skating after school yesturday. I haven't volunteerily not skated on a Tuesday since school started. It was because I "didn't feel like it". Uh. I'm so lazy. But when I went home, I made regular sized cupcakes to bring to school today and they turned out somewhat good. There were only about 4 that were starting to get a little darker than the others on the sides but I ate those so I wouldn't have to give unperfect cupcakes to my friends.

After school today, we went home so that we could practice before our piano lesson today. I ended up eating like 7/8ths of big bag of barbeque Lays. After our piano lesson, we went to the mall for trick-or-treating. The fall recital is next Saturday and I still need to memorize one song. I also need to cut my nails but I painted my nails halloween colors. Maybe I'll take a picture of them later but they don't look as good as when I first did them bcause of my nails growing (even though I did them on Friday and Saturday night).

Haven't Forgotten Yet
Tuesday, October 23, 2007
Just a quick entry to let you know that I haven't forgotten about Nutang yet. I'll see if I have time for a proper entry tomorrow but I have a orthodontist appointment and then a piano lesson. This Sunday is my brother's birthday party and his birthday is on Tuesday so we have lots of preparing to do this weekend. I'm going to be making cupcakes for him to bring to school on his birthday as well as make the cupcakes that I owe RuthAnne for her birthday a few weeks ago and for Lisa's birthday in April because I might be even lazier then.

GoodSearch.com
Thursday, October 18, 2007
Too lazy to type up something new so I'm going to copy an email that I'm sending to some friends:

"Hey everyone!

Have you ever heard of those websites where you click on a link each day and it earns a few cents for some cause or another? Well, forget about those exasperating sites!

You can help one (or more) of your favorite charities by going to www.goodsearch.com. Just use it instead of Google, Yahoo! Search, DogPile, etc. GoodSearch is partnered with Yahoo! Search, and for every site that you go to when you search, Yahoo! donates about 1 cent to the charity of your choice (it also includes the image and video searches). There are more than 45,000 charities for you to choose from so you can be sure to find a cause that you want to support. The more people who use this site, the more money will go to those in need. So please spread the word to your friends and family.

I found this site from reading the November issue of Readers' Digest, but the site saids that you can find more information about it from the New York Times, CNN, and other places like that.

I really hope that you'll consider using GoodSearch because it's an extremely easy way for you to help. Plus if you're still in school, you'll definately need to use a search engine every once in a while.

Love,
Cammane"

Hopefully I'll have some success in spreading the word. I'm in the Peace By Peace club at school and the first official meeting is tomorrow at lunch. It's a club that tries to raise money for charities so I might mention GoodSearch. But if I know me, I'll probably wait until the meeting is over and then talk to the teacher. *shrugs* I really think that GoodSearch is a good idea because I use Google so often. I hope that whoever reads this entry will consider using it too.

My current homepages are http://www.thedailygreen.com/, http://www.yahoo.com/, http://www.oktipus.com/, http://www.goodsearch.com/. The Daily Green is a website that offers you tips on how to help the environment and Oktipus is a website that gives you a random tip each day. They come in handy in different situations.

Anyways. My spins for ice skating are a lot worse now. I got my skates sharpened on Saturday and I was about to do pretty good spins for the first hour but then by my lesson 2 hours later, I couldn't do a spin anymore. *sigh*

The PSAT at my school is this Saturday at 8:30am so I'll probably have to skip my pilates lesson. I can't remember if I mentioned in my last entry that I started pilates on the 13th.
